Along with trawling, gillnet fishing is one of the most destructive forms of fishing developed. In places where it has been banned, fish populations have rebounded in a big way. These gillnet fishermen can't see past their next paycheck. They can't understand that if they continue this destructive fishing method there will be nothing left to catch. Whose doing this? Whose paying the IPA? Factually, Murdoch pays for SkyNonsense and Gina Reinhart is the IPA's major benefactor, and l'd imagine the coal industry are benefactors. All of the entities would benefit financially if the ALP lose power. Murdoch bought rights to broadcast SkyNonsense into regional Australia to radicalise the bush and in the last yr Reinhart has been buying office buildings to the tune of $320Mn while pressuring Albo to "save the Comm games" and presumably Australia from whatever embarrassment she/they've imagined we feel from Dan Andrews saying no we can't afford it right now. It's Murdoch & Reinhart that provide the money that runs the scumbags at the IPA and the LNP puppets. Some might describe it as a protection racket. They'd be right. It's organised, fraudulent, ergo criminal behaviour.

Save the Comm games? Does anyone outside the athletes and administrators care about them anymore? @@DatsunBloke7357 Do you speak for everyone in the bush? Perhaps some farmers are happy to receive the wind lease, which offers significant compensation for farmland loss and pays through good times and bad. It honestly just seems like your jealous that you have to now look at your neighbours profit margin or own a "farm" where you LARP as an actual farmer.
@DatsunBloke7357
@DatsunBloke7357 11 ай бұрын
@jimmy_james0007 you clearly are not a farmer. It was put on the State forest. None of my neighbours wanted those wind farms. They are loud and annoying and did not decrease our power bills. If you want good power, nuclear is the answer, not solar or wind.
@jimmy_james0007
@jimmy_james0007 11 ай бұрын
@@DatsunBloke7357 Not all farmers and not all turbines. Many turbines are being put up on private lands. It sounds like you got a poor deal, but that is what can happen when you live next to state land. If your actually a farmer then you would've heard worse stories. Additionally, guess what happens in your nuclear powered future? It isn't a future free from wind turbines. In that scenario, they will also be putting up wind turbines, and that is because wind and nuclear go together like jam on toast. Frankly if you have been doing any sort of reading on nuclear proposals in Australia this would've been obvious. There is simply no carbon neutral energy generation that doesn't include green energy at some level, which begs the question why you always hear the nuclear 'answer' being raised at every green energy infrastructure proposal. Could it be perhaps your being a tad intellectually dishonest with your nuclear 'answer'?

Let me tell you about renewables. I had my my House built in June 2018 I install a 5.4kw solar & since installed another 4.4Kw solar and a 10Kw 80000 cycle Battery in 2022 I have never paid for Electricity and Have paid for my Water Rates & Council Rates & Gas from my credits my 5.4kw system in less than 3 years and had over $2000 in credit. I will pay for my 4.4Kw & Battery in 5 years and still pay my water & Council rates with the Credits & I did away with gas also. By using the NSW Govt Heat Pump hot water which is also heated by my solar.

the best thing is, seeing as you've got solar you don't need heat pump hot water, standard electric hot water would have done you fine... but because it uses a quarter of the electricity as standard electric hot water, those energy savings means more of what you generate is going to the grid which means you get paid more.

We should all give up our windows and live in dark boxes so that the birds don’t die and then we can build a billion more wind turbines and still be in the green. Some local papers covered it, but even ACA didnt want to cover it despite the blatant community outrage. oh yeah and there was something about hiding last years PNL, which they were required to display as a charity or something.
