Oh, I actually recognize the decomposing T-Rex! It’s a sculpture by Aart Walen made a few years ago for a German nurse um a few years back - it’s a genuinely impressive piece of paleontological art on several levels. Really, I think you missed out on the true biggest trend with all these conspiracy theorists: they all steal pieces of art, pretend they’re real things, and then make up some bullshit without ever giving credit to the artist in question. They probably saw it on Reddit or something and just went “nice new video”

The YT channel Folding Ideas basically did the definitive version of that, ironically both ideas in one "episode". In Search of a Flat Earth. Starts off being about flat earthers, then it becomes about...all of the CTs really.

Flethers are incredible. They decided to run with a conspiracy that could actually be proven wrong and not just dismissed, ignored everyone proving them wrong and decided to test it themselves, only to find out they were indeed wrong. Then the proceed to ignore their own evidence and maintain the conspiracy, something tells me being in the "I know something you dont know" crowd is more important to them than being right.

It's funny because Flat Earth Theory was literally done as a joke. It was nothing but a silly inside joke that grew out of control. It's funny what happens in our brains once more than a handful of people start believing a thing, or claim to. It's a basic cognitive heuristic with survival value- when many people believe something, we become more likely to believe the same thing. When everyone around you suddenly point to the sky and look up, you do too. Flash mobs work around this principle. And the CIA.

Hey! 5:31 the Salamanca's Cathedral in Spain. I was there when I was 11 years old and that figure blew my entire class mind. Let me explain what actually happens with that. The cathedral was built between the XVI and XVIII century and its, indeed, an astronaut carved in the facade. However, there's an explanation. Back in 1992 the city of Salamanca made an expo about The Ages of Men, taking advantage of that they decided to restorate the facade because the stone was pretty spoilt back then. The author of that astronaut guy is called Miguel Romero, he decided to make a signature of that restoration by carving something accord to the time when it happen. So yep, the alien sent by god or some shit is wild, but as always there's a reasonable explanation for that. That church also has a carvation of three skulls and one of them has a frog on the top of it. That has nothing to do with this, I just think the frog is really funny.
