Hi Sir A small clarification You mentioned in united front against British that questioning social evils such as dowry ,sati, caste has united Indians against British . But to my knowledge I read that William Bentinck helped Rajaram Mohan Roy in abolishing Sati and Lord Canning passed Widow Remarriage Act. If this was true then Indians should have been divided into two groups as group supporting abolishing social evils and group against abolition of social evils . So how can Indians be united against British in such a case of 2 groups
