Definitely going for the Bunuel Bluray boxset

Man from Majorca was a fun one, and even more indebted to Friedkin than Man on the Roof. Not that I'm complaining. Besides these 2 thrillers, Widerberg focused more on dramas (sometimes going into arthouse territory). Fascinating filmmaker ; I've seen most of his feature films, missing maybe 3. As for Buñuel, I haven't seen as much of his work as I should have. Still need to see That Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, and The Phantom of Liberty.

I will definitely buy the Bunuel set, I love his work and already own a box set of his but none of the three films in this new Radiance one are included so that is a huge selling point for me. As for the films themselves, I have seen Viridiana and The Exterminating Angel and both are awesome! Very much looking forward to dive into Simon of the Desert as well plus those extras look really sweet too. Finally getting my first taste of Radiance and I will also pick up Tchao Pantin and maybe another title while I'm at it.

Hey Graham, both the Kudo & Widerberg releases sound fantastic, never seen either of them before but can’t wait to remedy that. I’m over the moon to see Radiance announce the Buñuel Set, I haven’t seen some of these since the Electric Pictures VHS days. Another Bundle month for me.

I have the Criterion dvd,s of the Bunuel films, but for anyone new to his work this is a splendid set.

@@manvfilm the extras on that boxset as well. Missed that when I scanned. Did I tell you I saw del Toro last year in Edinburgh but didn't think it was actually him, turned out he was location scouting for Frankenstein.

The first two are near certain buys for me. I like Bunuel, but will do due diligence about the 3 films in the set. Radiance still setting the pace for all the other labels!

The Exterminating Angel is one of my favourite Bunuel films. I have only the German DVD which is so bad quality wise ... Can't wait for a restored version.
