We haven't gotten a review up for it yet, but I dare say I agree. 😃

@@meeple Sorry for the late answer. I just revisited this video because this game is now finally available in Australia 😄 Yeah I'm curios about the game.

Another great Round One playthrough. BTW did you do anything special with the tower, as there's been a few complaints on keshees not getting stuck in 2 player games? And yours seemed fine.

The only difference there might have been is that this was the prototype (or pre-production) copy of the game. I anticipate that once players get more plays under their belt, that their experience will change. Sometimes it catches some, and sometimes it doesn't. I believe it's the same internal tower design as a number of other games that use such a component.

I've heard in other reviews that the tower, especially with two players, rarely traps anything. Did you do any modifications to the inserts inside the tower to make it less forgiving? Perhaps your style of dropping them in was more conducive to getting them trapped! Thanks for a fun video - still waiting on my deluxe kickstarter copy.

We’ve heard that a lot too. We haven’t had much issue with the tower. It has generally worked as we’d expect it to. I think there was just one 3-player game we had where only 3 to 4 Keshi were caught throughout the game, which felt a little light. I think you’ll have some games when it catches a fair amount, and other games when it doesn’t. That feels like it’s working to me though. Honestly, the game would be good without the tower too. It just adds a little more chaos, which is fun.

On the last turn shouldn't David have gone up 5 spaces on the river (3 for his 3 blue keshi + 2 for the 2 water he paid)?

I believe I did. I had been at zero, and ultimately got up 5 spaces. I think only the movement for the spent water was captured on screen.

Looks awesome. Do you feel this would be better at higher player counts? According to BGG it's best at 3-4p though the no. of ratings is low

I've really enjoyed it at all player counts, although at 3 and 4 players, the drafting can get even more interesting, as there are often multiple Keshi of like colors.

Is there a reason not to focus on the river? If this is the 5th playthrough or so and the 5th time you’ve chosen the river, I’m thinking that’s kinda the only way to play. I love Feld’s games, but hearing so much about this river worries me.
