A small correction, the Concubine with the Prince never really learned about the information, as her lady-in-waiting who found that message with flower threw it away. It wasn't the Concubine who threw it.

she DID learn about the warning, but from lady gyokuyoku instead of the paper edit: just realised that that info is in ep2😅

Except the concubine with the princess explicitly states that she shared the information with the one with the prince, but Lihua didn't believe her, so ignored the warning. So, yes, she did get the warning, but because it came from someone she viewed as her rival, she disregarded it.

Lihua was mother to the prince, yet Gyokuyou still seemed to have the emperor's favor, making her Lihua's greatest rival. Why else would Lihua have any reason to think Gyokuyou was ANY threat to her child? The two points are not mutually exclusive.

Love reading the manga when I was in college. I was really amazed how profound the storytelling as much as the art style. So glad the animation is top tier as well. Frieren and Kusuriya on the same airing is such a blessing for my heart. 💕

And in that time in China, and everywhere else honestly, resources are scarce and the best can only be acquired by wealthier people.

Just correcting u real quickly, even tho It's Toho debut as an actual Studio, the team behind this anime is actually quite small, but It's a group of Very talented people, so every episode that looks fenomenal, It's because the team is actually very good... But no, no big budget nor big team was put together to do this, they where Just given time to do It...

This is my most anticipated show this season and I am soo happy it's lived up to and surpassed my expectations. So happy it dropped 3 episodes because I saw "episode 3" coming out today so I thought I missed 1+2 only to find out later lmao. Also yeah Parallel World Pharmacy. Great show. And it was lead poisoning that was in the powder. But in the show, they also did blood-letting which is basically making yourself anemic to give off a pale color.

The part about Mao Mao and her curiosity is really just a wordplay on her name. You see, her name literally means "Cat Cat", in other words, she's named "Kitty". Now, what do people say about cats and curiosity again?

I do dislike that they didn't really make their skin lighter Also they didn't explain but the prince was older? then the princess and the blue haired concubine had been there longer than the red haired foreigner concubine (simplifying terms)... Of course, blue haired concubine isn't the first concubine the king had, which you'll see later, it's just that she is the longest that still is active? and she is in crush towards emperor, meanwhile foreigner is just starting to crush towards emperor.
