In this video I'll be reviewing one great pair of headphones from Maono. This over ear closed back pair of headphones sound great, are really well built and only cost around $50. These headphones are comparable to something like Beats by Dre and have a very pronounced bass boost.

Got this yesterday with the pm422 set. I'm pleased so far especially while listenning to spotify. Tried with my 3ds as well. Great value for the price.

Great review. Love these headphones, and with the addition of a $20 headphone amp they sound even better. Apparently a phone doesn't put out quite enough juice to get the most out of a big set of wired headphones. They sound fantastic. Have you checked out the Archgon Delicato headphones? I just ordered those, they are about $15 more on Amazon (less than half the MSRP) but very highly rated. Another gem a lot of people might not know about.

helped me decide. Thanks , was looking for a non gaming , music listening oriented headphones that don't cost more than " gaming headphones ".Have the maonocaster and a mic from them hopefully they sound good for recording. Subscribed and Liked

I got these as well as the maono AU-PM421 for my gaming setup, and I'm quite happy with my decision over buying another pair of "gaming" headsets.

@@aminorerror yeah, they've been rock solid, although I do have to say that my first pair came defective (the right speaker rattled like it was blown). they told me to keep the defective pair and sent me another, and they work like a charm.

@@aminorerror so far they're still like the day I bought them, the plastic is still like the day I bought them, the ear cups are still soft and full and I've even abused them a little. I say they're money well spent. I think I'm taken with the Maono brand, they will be my go to brand from here on out. The Mic kit was the first (bought the AU-PM421), and the Headphones was the second due to how much I liked the Mic kit.

Hi! Thanks for the comment and kind words! Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the One Audio Pro 10 headphones you mentioned. I wouldn't recommend using these to mix on as your primary way of monitoring. I'd recommend a set of KRK KNS8400 (that's what I use) OR ideally a good set of near field reference monitors (I use Adam A7X's). These headphones are great for just listening for enjoyment and have a substantially amount of extra bass which makes them great for rap/trap styles. They color the sound substantially though and won't give a clear accurate representation of your mids or high end. Hope that helps!

Unfortunately I don't have experience with those specific headphones but just by taking a quick look at them I'd got with the Maono's IMO. I wouldn't recommend either of these headphones for anything more than just general listening enjoyment, not to do any real musical mixing ect. For that I'd recommend saving up and buying a set of KRK's ect. Best of luck!

Which are better for mixing and mastering between these AU-MH601 and the AU-MH501?

Sadly, while these are great budget headphones, they're really best for listening. I wouldn't recommend mixing or mastering in headphones if you can avoid it. A great pair of near field reference monitors is what I would recommend, and if you don't have the setting to use speakers I'd recommend picking up something like KRK KNS-8400 headphones for mixing. It's still not ideal, but those will give a flatter, uncolored representation of your mix. Don't get me wrong, I really like these headphones. Having a pair around to reference your mix with would be great, but keep in mind they're designed for the enjoyment of music, not mixing. Consider giving the channel a sub for more content like this!

If you're on a budget I would say they would do just fine. They're better than most headphones out there at this price point, and the sound is relatively flat. But if you had a couple more bucks to spend, or you know that you're gonna make a couple more bucks in a couple of weeks, I would suggest saving up for any of these : Audio Technica m20,30,40x.
