I went from 800 to 900 elo by just attacking in feudal with tiny numbers. Like if red had spread out into blues base when he broke in instead of trying to take out the barracks blue would have GG'd there and then.

Yeah, that feudal scout rush can be deadly. I've won and lost many a game to those.

good old militia rush in dark age is still quite effective even above 1k. try it sometime, it's fun! you won't win the game with it but it always paid for itself for me. plus you train micro and eco in parallel.

@@Memphisko I dont think drush is much effective around 1k tho - rarely you can take fight against vills or hit them on time. Its fun tho :D

@@krystofcisar469 You have to really feck up your eco to do it, that's why I prefer to have three militia that arrive at the enemies base right as I get M@A. It's like a combo hit if you get to feudal faster because they see the feudal warning and then shortly after they're being attacked by three M@A.

Honestly if Blue just made a few knights he could have cleaned up those infantry super easily. Not sure why he made camels when the enemy has no cavalry.

This game has showed me that if I tried out Ranked 1v1, I'd probably be around 750-800. These days, I struggle with APM and multi-tasking, but if I can get to Imp, I can out micro anyone in my bracket. Team Ranked, where I can play pocket, I'm somewhere between 800 and 1000 (depending on which friends we are playing with).

thats why you're 400 and they are not. There's a pretty big difference between 400 and 800, same step as 800 to 1100-1200, and then keep rising.

this game is so baffling to me. I'm playing at about 320 elo, reckon i'm not that much worse than these guys. I'm getting rekked by 480 elo guys who'd totally win this match as well 🤷‍♂ oh well, more playing i suppose 🤣

@@polarbearliver The scale bottoms out at 0, and players down there definitely seem to have a stronger focus on just having fun. No try-harding allowed 11. The system works well enough that you really don't have to worry about improving just to play ranked, you'll naturally end up with players of similar skill. See you on the ladder!

The skill gap gets narrower all the time, and it's probably some really minor differences in timing and hotkeys accounting for that 400-elo spread.

I dont really play ranked much these days, but im about 900 and its that on good day i was able to outplay quite higher ranks but I wouldnt play 2 good games in row. Rather much incosistence while one game i was accused of smurfing and hour later i lost bcs I forgot horsecolar and was autofarming the whole game :D

how did you even end up at 320 elo if you actualy are "not that much worse" than them the thing about AOE2 is there is a LOT of unnoticeable litle thing who make a HUGE difference, the smallest thing like timing and ressource managment alone can easily make a 400elo gap maybe you just dont realise what did they do better than you to have double ur elo, (and i dont blame you for that btw, its actualy hard to tell what someone 300elo higher than us do differently, buteverytime you learn a single new knowlege and get used to make it matter in practice you end up gaining 100elo all of sudden in 1 day everytime x) PS: english isnt my first langage so i will precise here than i dont mean any disrespect by that comment, i'm myself i noob who end up loing every game until i got around 700 elo when i start ranked and only get to go back and forth betwen 900-1000 after 2month of tryharding then end up giving up of the game cause i suck x)

Red broke into the guys base with MAA only to walk out again without doing anything? He never used his scout, who was inside the base, to attack the repair vils.. He's at the proper elo. Blue just didn't know how to deal with infantry, seemed to be expecting knights.
