it just feels like Ubisoft is spiraling at this point ... They're abandoning a trend other companies are now realizing is great for the community, game longevity & creative inspiration. We'll see how it plays out for 'em lol :D

Precisely! The map editor and multiplayer had so much potential and was 90% of the reason I was gonna get far cry 6. Now it just doesn’t seem worth it

Yes but the main diffuculty is to jump over to half way editors. Game costumers don't see the editor as a stand alone game, but rather a add on. I better quit building instead of getting muted. Ubisoft muted many communitys in Farcry 2. The Farcry 4 / Farcry 5 communitys will be next. You can wave goodbye and perhaps they give you a new bone in three years or backholding this add on ,for later introduction into the game when they know they made a mistake.👍

Hit the nail on the head Adam, it really does feel like they gave up right before takeoff. I think all these new editors are going to make the creative community explode, and Ubi at this rate are going to miss the party

@@SamBuilds Its just that there's a lot of Ubisoft games that could've benefited from a map editor or forge-like system in their games. I was one of the few who actually enjoyed GR: Wildlands but ALWAYS said it would've been amazing if it had a mission creator, map editor, etc. Being able to build nearly limitless fresh experiences use to go a long way in my book. here's to hoping they maybe surprise the community after they realize it themselves or hear enough of the community begging for it.

Another editor to keep in mind is the upcoming Fortnite's Valkyrie, a redesign on their creative mode (aka Creative 2.0), announced in an Epic Games developer stream 6 months back. The current Creative mode is already extremely powerful (I went there after Far Cry 5 and I am still building every day). It has its flaws, but there is active development and updates to the mode every 2 weeks.

Halo Infinite Forge seems to be the future of this channel and while it's sad that FC6 won't have an editor, I'm all for it regardless.

Very excited for the future! The only thing we know Halo Infinite's Forge will have is an Undo/Redo button so that is a needed edition...haha

Of all of these suggestions, only Forge may yet be interesting. I don't care much for racing, FPS gameplay can have such more variety in controls and abilities. Far Cry has the perfect mix of terrain editing power, assets and gameplay. If only it had better game modes, scripting and a more solid editor/arcade experience, it could dominate the scene.

Sam, did you see Far Cry Beyond? I was wondering if that would have it's own map editor inside of it. Maybe FC6 has no editor because Beyond will be the base of everything community related?

Dreams is actually starting applications for monetization and has made several careers already. Sony has a 10 year plan in place. It WILL be sonys Xbox live arcade.

The only thing great about FC5's multiplayer was the editor aspect. The gameplay was usable but bland and they're weren't enough game modes. I think Ubisoft just got lazy and decided to not put effort into it.
