The factory 2015+ Volkswagen GTI downpipe is a huge bottleneck, limiting flow and robbing power. An upgraded downpipe will allow this spent exhaust gas a quicker outlet to the exhaust system, increasing horsepower and torque through the entire power band!
Designed to last a lifetime, the MAPerformance 2015+ MK& GTI downpipes are available in a catted (Race or GESI) or catless version for those customers without any restrictions on emissions.

Glad to see you guys offering GESi cats. These cats should pass emissions everywhere in North America except for the states that require the use of CARB approved aftermarket catalytic converters aka New York and California.

I have 2 cats, what do I do with the 02 sensors if I install the catless downpipe? It doesn't look like there are bungs for sensors to go into, and I wouldn't think I leave them just hang.

What if you bought the Cobb stage 1+ package from you, would we still be able to get the stage 2 OTS tune? I’d love to run the gesi catted downpipe. I think it’d sound great with the Remus catback I recently put on.

All downpipes require a tune, however, I have a GESI cat on my '16 WRX. The cat is a "real" cat and actually reduces emissions properly, or so that's what was advertised. I asked my tuner to keep my catalyst ready monitor on, and I have no check engine light. To be clear, there is no way to keep that check engine light off without turning off the catalyst readiness monitor.
