I have the same dashcam, so far the only "incident" I've captured is a shopping cart rolling down a hill into the side of a pickup. Doing several hundred dollars worth of damage, btw. But I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I've had the KDLinks X1 for about a year now. Great daytime footage. Good at night. GPS tracking is accurate. I hardwired mine using a spytec kit and an add-a-circuit fuse tap to my radio fuse so that it automatically powers on with the car. One habit I've learned is that if I see someone doing something stupid, I read outloud the plate number. This cam is good but the human eye is still better at capturing them, especially in motion or at night.

byrn The kdlinks x1 is pretty great. The only flaw I think it has is the high pitch noise on playback. Not sure if it's from the gps interference or what. I too say the plate number when the situation calls for it. Just in case it's not clear on the video.

JasonGstp Hmm my playback is clean, no feedback or unusual sounds at all. Do you have any other devices plugged into the same power source, or any wiring attached to the camera that runs parallel/alongside another powered device/wire? Sometimes you can get a whining sound due to crosstalk or a 'dirty' power source (car electrical systems tend to pick up noise fron the altenator).
