This is one of the first songs I ever knew by heart as a child. I would stand holding on to the side of mom's baby grand and watch her play and was fascinated. I'd crawl underneath to see the pads hit the big coils of wire. She was born in 1905 and had me in 1951 and I was so fortunate to be given her love and vast knowledge of music. She could play anything from Mozart and Beethoven to stride boogie to When Rebecca Came From Mecca. If she was in the room with a piano there was an instant party. Jeannette lived to be a few months shy of 100, and I'm so grateful for the love of music that she gave to her 'old egg.'

Great to see that right foot PLANTED on the floor. Very light clean sound with no sustain pedal. A bit swinging and syncopated, I thought it was just right.
