He’s very knowledgeable about hockey and he’s a pretty genuine guy, he’s just paid to be very biased towards the Bruins, but it’s kinda weird cause he doesn’t really reflect your typical Bruins fan, Bruins fans are not delusional and biased fans, Bruins fans sometimes get confused with Celtics fans who are all biased.

@@joer8854 Part of me thinks he also knows how infuriating it is and intentionally plays into that because he's on the homer network of the Bruins; so being a homer is to be expected when you're commentating for your home team on a local network against "the other guys" and not commentating a nationally-broadcast hockey game. Stuff like this shows that he's a very good hockey analyst when he's not putting on that Boston homer look for the NESN broadcast.

I think the disconnect is that in Canada, while you typically have the same play-by-play crew calling all of the games for one team, they are either Sportsnet or TSN, so they are a national broadcaster. They are supposed to be relatively impartial. That doesn't exist in the US. There are national broadcasts, but most fans see their favorite teams on regional networks. They are only broadcasting to THAT fanbase, so they SHOULD be a little more biased.

Derek Lasker Same thing happened w the 95 Red Wings the year they set the record for points. They got knocked out in the semis but won the cup the next year. Look at Washington as well, win the presidents trophy 2 yrs ago but won the Stanley cup the next year. Tampa should go further next year.

as a professional broadcaster you give a honoust unbiased call to the point where a blind Leaf fan and a blind B's fan could have a reasonable balanced accurate understanding of the game. Are you going to talk trash? If trash is served by the B's, than you give/talk what is deserved.... Being a pro means you get many who will sign "your" pay cheque. Being "passionate" does not trump being a professional in your chosen industry.

JENNA CATON good announcer, but he takes things too far at times. There’s no need to yell at players on opposing teams like he did with Hamrlik in 2011. He should tone it down, but I’m guessing he won’t. That’s ok. Not the end of the world. I think he’s so emotional that he goes too far sometimes, but I won’t lose any sleep over it.

Marner is a franchise player, and Dubie will sign him; to either a bridge contract or a back loaded contract where he make's 7M next year, and 13M in year 7-8 or 9. Which would be better than a bridge contract, because Kapanen and Johnsson need signing too. There will be no offer sheets to any of these players from other teams, because Dubie will have tied them up all up before July1st.

Bruins fan here, I just love to see the Bruins and Maple Leafs battle in the playoffs, there is so much history with the Leafs, I enjoy the old timers and the new, wearing that big Maple leaf and that striking Blue and white uni! I remember the Bruins sweeping the Leafs in 74 but every single game was nail biter, Toronto will never roll over, it will be a fight to the end!

well the Bruins playing dirty is the only way they know how to play. Boston Bruins (aka the 'OJ Simpson of the NHL' as they get away with murder) can't win when the refs/linesmen won't/don't let them play dirty. But yeah, I have watched the Bruins broadcast (on Rogers NHL Centre Ice, or whatever its called) online (to avoid Jim Hughson the other Leaf hating jerk) and his homerism is beyond being tolerable. Bruins' dirty plays are called hockey plays by Edwards, but then Jack Edwards demands penalties and/or suspensions when the Bruins' opponents make the same hits against the Bruins. Double standards for sure
