Over my 56 years I've had my fair share of ankle and knee sprains, deep bruising, pulled muscles and other stuff from playing sports. Also had bouts of the flu with typical symptoms, sometimes doozies. Dealt with sciatica...that was a bad one...and years of lower back pain, ranging from minor nuisance pain to not being able to straighten up for a couple days. Worst pain I ever had, by far, was from a f'n stomach bug. The pain hit in waves. At its worst, it put me in a fetal position for about a minute or two at a time. Lasted for about three days. No vertigo though.

Boston played awfully and still took it to OT. Gotta absolutely bury them when they give a freebie like that. A lot of the same priblems are glaring. Nice to see PP adjust and use a 1-3-1 and Domi faceoff ace performance but hard to really get excited because the gap in consistency is so large

At 12:14, JD Bunkis says: "No Maple Leaf in the series has more than 1 goal, which I think is kind of indicative of how they've done in the series, so far..." This is false- their rookie, Matthew Knies, is now leading the team (in that department) with 2 goals; as, you may recall, he scored the first goal of Game 3 and, of course, the final/Game-Winning goal of Game 5!

Seriously, go back and watch what you all were saying between the last game and this one. Are you not embarrassed to show your faces today? You’re all so freaking obsessed that you can’t see straight!! Hockey is a sport, watching sport is entertainment and that game was so freaking entertaining, everyone wins! It doesn’t really matter if we lose and lose, that’s sport, the best team usually wins and that’s okay! You all giving The coach of the Leafs so much heat from everyone, watch and learn, with his job on the line, he could have thrown everyone under the bus, but he stays calm, professional and stays focused. You media people are a disgrace, you got no scruple’s and you panicked and shot your lot, or am I wrong? The players now know that no matter what they do, he stands by them, even with his nuts on the chopper that’s how you keep the room. Respect to this quite spoken, respectful man, respect! And getting rid of Marner, the guys gold! Such a hero off the ice all he does for sick kids and stuff. Imagine if he doesn’t really care about winning the cup, but just likes playing hockey for his home town and providing for his family, is that so bad? We get one life who are any of you’s to say you got to bleed for the cup, it’s a sport and it’s life. Get back to earth, get some perspective in this crazy world!

If Woll has a good mental game, tightens up a few things and practices his stick handling, I genuinely think he could be a safe bet starter for next season regardless of what happens with the rest of the team. He's like 90% of the way there, which is better than Sammy who had a few months of being 99% of the way there, only to regress down to like, 25% at times. The Leafs almost ruined Woll's development when he was in limbo as their secondary but not getting enough starts, so I'm happy to see he's making the most of his increased ice time. The only real hiccup was coming back from injury, which if he continues to play this good I think we can firmly file away in the "it's extremely hard to come back from a leg injury as an NHL goaltender" catagory.

Joseph Woll was the X factor, had he played in a couple of the first four games this would be a different series completely. Burt and Domi are caring the offence, Marner had a good game too, the defence is holding its own pretty well I would say.

Nah Woll did his job but leafs d were the real story...Bruins had hardly any shots for first half of game. Leafs d kept them to the outside. Bruins 1st goal was a stinker...Woll was slow and did not move but given he had hardly any shots in 1st its very diificult on any goalie to stay warmed up. I hated the goal though but leafs stayed with it and did not fall apart from it. Woll made 2 good saves but really he was not tested much in game. Did his job though. I would like to see the leafs shoot low for a rebound more man. A team struggling to score goals like they are should know that . Any coach would be saying that so I'm curious about that. Crashing the net like Tavares did is they way they have to play to beat the bruins. I would like to see Matthews do that..I think he would be tough to knock off the puck.....just like Mario!!!

When the goalie makes a big save ,the team responds and goes to the other end ,and scores..... problem with the Leafs, many times, the goalie makes a big save, can't get the puck out, and eventually scores anyways. Nice to see it go the other way

No, Bourne, those "not pretty" goals were EXACTLY the goals that the Leafs should have been aiming for against a goalie like Sweyman. You'll never get this guy out of position on a clean look in open ice. Mad scrambles, deflections, rebounds...DRIVING THE NET - THAT'S how you'll get any goals against him. You need to get him down making a save before elevating it over him. That means changing the goal scorers from Nylander, Matthews and Marner to Domi, Bertuzzi, Tavares, Knies and Reeves, while letting your "top" scorers control traffic from the point. THAT'S how the powerplay should have been run...and by extension, their entire offense. Leafs are still making stupid mistakes...and above all, NOT FORECHECKING. They're still trying to make those stupid stretch passes which Sweyman is in perfect position to stop, even when Boston occasionally loses track defensively.

The problem with the Leafs powerplay: 1) JT losing the puck when it's on his stick too many times. 2) Always trying to set-up Matthews to snipe goals, too predictable. 3) Not looking for the bank pass or slap pass from the side / back door.

Playoff hockey and regular season hockey are very different animals in how its played. Soft floater type players don't do well in the playoffs. The Leafs are FAR better without Matthews in physically tight games we see in the playoffs. The Leafs had compete with Domi centering the first line.

Usually I agree with most of your points of view JD but you were COMPLETELY WRONG when you thought Matthews should play the last game of the season to go for 70. It's extremely likely, the effort put forth accumulated to contribute to his current injury. In fact, if reports are true that he has concussion-like symptoms. It likely started when he fell & hit his head into the boards against Detroit when he almost got his 70th. After that fall, doctors should have shut him down for at least a week! I know, I had to quit professional sports at the age of 29 bec of this!

I almost closed KZbin when Sammy said "I would rather hear Matthews is out Thursday than have to speculate on his injury for the next 2 days." Be creative, expand beyond the standard talking points, and find another topic topic to zoom in on and discuss. That is everything that is wrong with having a time slot to fill and a lack of preparation. You've had the same discussion 15 different times with no additional information added and its starting to feel like Groundhog Day. Unless you have new info to provide the fanbase, there is no value added in repeating yourselves over and over again. And shoutout to JB for his "I've been saying the Bruins are a fraud, they're not very good." It is those genuinely braindead and tone-deaf takes that humiliate us Leafs fans and give teams and fanbases bulletin board material and ammo.

"Came out with jump right away." Marner led team vs Matthews lead team. The TO media has been claiming for years that Matthews is the team leader, well now we know what they look like in the playoffs when Marner has that role. Bad luck was the only reason they didn't win 1-0 in regulation. The Boston crowd seemed to be not as loud. You mean when the Bruins were giving up twelve shots and only getting 2. Yea, when your team has a reputation for choking that will happen. Marner needs to play with players who can create space for him, as the space disappears Marner's impact gets smaller. Matthews can't or won't create space. Domi and Bertuzzi can and did. Utah? You clearly don't understand what a no movement clause is. If Marner leaves, he will be picking his team, it will be a contender and they will have a deal in place for him to sign the second the trade is made. Nylander played Pastrnak head to head for a lot of the night and Pastrnak was a non factor. He had the right to expect his teammates to win it for him, he did his part.
