To add a bit to the guide and from my own thoughts: The most dangerous Elite is Thief. Final Cut super KB is what gets you into trouble most of the time. It sets up wombo combos that end up chaining attacks together into death. For some mages, if you teleport the wrong direction, you’ll still get hit because of how much distance it covers. Like the video says, up jumping is almost always the correct decision to dodge things, and a huge reason why is to dodge thief push. Warrior stun can be reaction will’d or just dodged outright because it has low range, however Thief push can’t be resisted by a lot of classes with low super stance availability. Ducking for the charge and mage ball is not recommended unless it’s a last resort. The reason why is that elites can spawn a bad pattern to screw you over. Warrior can stun, pirate can reverse, thief can KB, archer’s arrow can’t be dodged by ducking and you’ll be forced to eat it. All of these can force you to stand up or damage you more which ends up killing you. Darknell’s basic slash is also a wombo combo setup, usually into Archer’s arrow and mage ball. This is how greeding kills you, sometimes you greed a bit too much, tank a slash, and the elite pattern just happens to combo together. You can normal jump in place over archer arrow. No FJ or up jump needed. If you’re cool, you can teleport past it too for more uptime. Thief and Pirate’s fast “normal”attacks are the reason you can’t stay at low HP. If you’re at low HP with potion on CD, you should ideally stop attacking and focus on dodging everything because of these 2 elite patterns. Classes that can stay topped off on HP have less to worry but for everyone else these two attacks are what can snipe a life from you if you stay at low health. The small minion attacks stop you from ring swapping. FMA is not necessarily bad or should be avoided. You can deliberately bait it to stall. Since he will almost always use it if you’re far away you can bait it and run away to give yourself some space or run to him to be safe. Darknell’s position is almost always unsafe on all of his attacks, however during FMA you’re completely safe on top of him. This makes it ideal for setting up burst or greeding more damage. Final thoughts: in Darknell, the player controls the pacing of the fight. The player most of the time controls when Darknell attacks, the RNG is from what elites spawn. Understanding the rhythm demonstrated in the video is the biggest key to the fight. You will understand how much control you have in this fight compared to say XLotus where it feels like you have less control over anything and the boss controls the pacing instead of you.

Found out weeks ago the FMA doesnt cover the entire top of the screen, yiu can BaM up tele2x it or maybe high hover on a blink. Reegardless i hate this fight, so much room to get checked into death. Solid guide.

Hey Duky, as a returning player, I just want to say that your guides and videos have been incredibly helpful. This video is a perfect example of why I enjoy your content - it's clear, concise, and easy to follow. That said, I've also seen some of your stream highlights, and I just wanted to offer some constructive feedback. The constant 'bro this, bro that' comes across as trying too hard to sound cool. Honestly, you don’t need it - people already like you for being yourself. I hope you take this in the spirit it's intended: you're already great, and sometimes that style in your streams can feel a bit cringey TO ME. Each to their own of course and I'm not asking you to change, but maybe you just needed to hear that it's not needed ;). Keep up the awesome work!

I appreciate it a lot. Genuinely I do, the feedback and you not coming off as an asshole. I've received this criticism in a not so nice way before. I totally understand that I'm not everyone's cup of tea. Believe it or not, I play almost a character on my stream if that makes sense lol. It's a very exaggerated, "extra" version of myself that I just personally think is funny and makes a more light-hearted environment. It's not going to be for everyone but at least for me, I have fun doing it, so that's why I can come off as maybe cringey or annoying or an asshole to some people. Thanks though for real
