Glow! So very recently I hit 230 on my Bishop and was able to finally do a solo clear of Hard Magus. I'm still in the process of building up my Legion and Link Skills and I'm certain my gear is pretty sub-optimal compared to others. Still, it was a really great feeling to finally clear him and get the Badge. Practice really does make perfect, and in this particularly it helped me to make better judgment calls on whether dealing damage was a priority or backing away to prevent needless deaths was.

Haven't watched the video yet but if you got hands you can clear the boss with the full timer, so you can always just play very safe and most likely you have enough damage for the full timer

A tip someone shared with me that changed my magnus experience is that when he does the blue swirl push attack, you can duck that move. No more pushing me out into falling debris for me!

comment for the algorithm: 14:45: my proudest one is 27 min clear hvhilla no arcanes/only absos on my DW solo prog a while back, but most recently was 43 min BM JUST before the end of last month (finished my solo prog with bm clear and im now into ekaling/nkalos pts. also glow. :3)

Another good rule of thumb I found for myself in bosses with just 1 phase is, if u can deal 10% of the boss hp in 3 minutes, u can clear the boss. the more often then not, ur dmg is gonna stay consistent throughout the fight so its just a 10*3 equation. ofc there are exceptions to everything tho.

TL:DR Practice, if youre better at dodging the boss or attack more often without dying, you dont need as much range. Study the boss stats, make sure youre close to its level or higher and have enough AF or SF to not get damage nerfed. Also check the Scouter link in the description to plug in your stats to get a calc response on what bosses your stats can do.

Honestly the biggest thing holding me back from boss progression is hexa skills and learning boss mechanics. So many bosses in later game maple have the magnus objects falling from the ceiling mechanic and that and all the other stuff you have to keep track of forces you to pick and choose what to pay attention to and to what to let yourself get hit by. I am just not built to be able to focus and what's important in a boss fight with all of these distractions going off, it sort of stun locks my brain, which is why I have an easier time clearing something like gloom than will. 3rd phase will is especially difficult for me because it's hard to see what will is doing with all these legs, balls and webs on the screen, I literally do not see him do his 1 hit attacks at times. Other times, like old lotus it was a lot more easier for me to dodge thing secure theres only like 3 things to focus on, his push, ground laser and falling debris, its when there are so many different things going on, do I get confused.

Maplescouter bugs out from time to time I am bad at bossing and every class has different mechanics when it comes to clearing bosses. I tried every boss in my level range, and I can only clear 7 to maybe 8 weekly ones. Every time I add more Sacred to a boss that was introduced in a Sacred map (Cernium, Arcus, Odium) I do more dmg to that boss because I added points to Sacred... My CP is super low [7.5M] and my range is 3M ... But I was able to clear CRA with 1 Origin on either CPierre or CVellum [Both if I wait for CD] ... But Hard Will and Hard Lucid is unclearable because they both have a "Punch King" mechanic test that if you fail it, you fail out. My skill isn't at their level, but I figured this out by trying. ;)

I think this video and other end gamers responses miss the fundamental point of our question which is to create a goal to reach. We’re new and it seems like aimless grinding and growth since we don’t have bench marks for these bosses. Even just something general prefaced with “not very accurate” would be really helpful as opposed to the common end gamer answer of, figure it out. The question isn’t “can I do this boss”, rather it’s “what do I need to do in order to do this boss?”

In terms of this game, I’d believe answers are inconsistent because the classes are. Some clear sooner than others and some just have options available earlier than other classes and at times some get options other classes probably never get. So that would change the benchmark for most of them. I’d guess specialist would give you a better answer on when you are ready to face a boss. I personally would feel, for a new player, outside of gear, you’d probably want to work on things like your V matrix and legion to lessen how much actual effort you need gear wise in order to actually take a boss down. The better off those options are, the lower the requirement for clearing it will be. I also would think that practicing both with and without the buffs. Depending on your situation, you may or may not have the resources the practice mode provides to face the boss in the same way you would normally. So recreating the most realistic scenario may help out too.

glow thank you for the tips, i have 3 lomian boss mules(DW 250, ARK 243, BUCC 229) and anthor NL in the work lv 202 rn, and a main TD 264 23m CP 5k legion 256 Drop rate. my qustion is in the upcoming burnning event should i burn a new sub main or shuold i just use it on my NL to make it my sub main as i found it super enjoyable.? or would it be smarter to just burn a new char to 250/60?

It's not related to this video but it's your recent one so thought I'd comment. I'm the type that when I get involved in something I get super involved for like a week or 2 then never touch it again, so when hyper burns come around I always make a new boss mule for the most part that never actually become boss mules and probably trying to force it too early cause don't have nodes and stuff maxed on my main. But I love making new characters and doing bosses. So for the new hyper burn nov 20th would you recommend I make my 235 bucc a hyper burn again or make a new character and just try and get it as high as I can? Only 5.3k legion as well so also need that but I think im set on at least lvl 2 link skills. Sorry for the long text just wondering your opinion and wanted to go to the GOAT.
