@@lookcatchu as a child my favourite was beef and black bean sauce with cashew nuts added and special fried rice for some reason the cashews did something to the meat and sauce making it so good But now my favourite is beef hor fun with added Chinese sausage They say hor fun is the hardest dish to cook and a chef is measured by this dish the Chinese sausage brings it to the next level delicious and fatty

I have to cut all my hair off because I inherited the hair from my mum's side I think it's from my Taiwan ancestors traveling to all the islands like Philippines and Indonesia and breeding with the Papua New Guinea people who have similar hair and then spreading out into the islands in the Pacific Ocean But I have not tight curls but waves and thick hair

Absolutely brilliant...and such a great production, presentation...and beyond entertaining. I followed your recipe tonight and it was the best Mapo Tofu I've ever had. I did differentiate and had it over rice noodles. Here in Manhattan, Mapo Tofu is $20.00 from a restaurant. Following your recipe, mine came in under $6.00.

what did you like better? this or the loco moco boeuf œuf? I don't eat pork but I've always been curious to try this with minced chicken instead of pork. I like the combo of silken tofu with meat. they do a mixed silken tofu with beef gyudon here that I get once a week.

SHRUGS IS BACK!! I think the boeuf oeuf is good for a weeknight meal but the mapo is good for a crazy Saturday night in! GO WILDDDD WITH THE MAPO AHHHHH yes the tofu with the meat is the most fun to eat, ooo chicken would be a good alternative to this! Also much lower in cholesterol xD

Mapo! Where's my tofu?! Your Mapo Tofu looks delicious. My life hack is to have a dedicated pepper grinder just for sichuan pepper. I tried mortar and pestle, but it's just too much work. The pepper grinder is more connivent, faster and its output is less gritty / coarse. I like to boil the tofu in lightly salted water, it firms up its protein and it's becoming less fragile.

TONY!! Oh yes this is the authentic Sichuan version so you know it’s spicy xD if you’re not as much of a spicy fiend, try halving the measurement!! Also yes the numbing of the peppercorns will cool you down so it’s not as burn your head off spicy xD but yes it is quite spicy!! Lao gan ma is delicious, just wish it was actually spicy 😭❤️❤️
