This video offers insights into your first day in federal prison. Insights include:
1: Setting the right example for your family, who will suffer more than you
2: Create a fitness plan before you surrender then continue it on your first day in federal prison.
3: Get your health needs in order, including medications
4: Prepare for some inevitable frustration and discomfort.
5: Detach yourself from the situation and remember--it is just one day in your life. Ten years from now, will this day really matter? No. You have already been through worse.
Best,
Justin Paperny

I love how you do more than talk about the first day you reinforce the importance of family, making the time count and finding perspective. So good! Thank you.

Your channel has been a tremendous asset and help to me as a member of my family prepares for a one year and one day sentence at a federal camp. I have made sure to pass dozens of your vidoes along to that person who is equally thankful that you are so willing to offer such excellent advice drawn from your own experience and the experience of your clients. Thanks to you he has been able to put together a very nice release plan even before reporting on January 23rd, 2024.. a plan he knows he will continue to work on while in custody. He is also prepared to keep a daily journal, as you suggested, and to take advantage of every opportunity presented to him to qualify for earlier release to a halfway house or home confinement. All of this would not have been possible without the outstanding advice you put out on KZbin to all takers without charge. If we had the resources, believe me, I would be paying for the same advice you have so freely put into the public domain. Right now our financial resources must focus on the immediate needs of his family while he is away. You have also offered excellent advice in that area. I can not begin to thank you and your team enough! Finally, and perhaps most important, your videos have taken away a great deal of the fear we have all been dealing with related to his incarceration.

The man felt humiliated winding up in prison and was struggling to absorb the reality. You got him to reframe the prison experience and deescalate his upset thoughts and feelings into one where he could thrive .

He is so correct my son was on about 10 meds for his bi polar, seizures, deterioration of his discs, and possibly having frontal lobe deterioration he was suppose to be tested before he went in and didn't get that test in prison. Just a couple pills, nothing for his back pain. The system is horrible and it only makes people worse when they come out. They don't give you the tools to succeed coming out. Listen to this man there is a lot of truth in everything he says. But mental heath people are not taken care of at all.
