Great reaction, guys! Yeah, it's hard to imagine that this is only the second time all 5 of them ever performed together in public. It proves how talented each one of them is, to be able to quickly learn each other's skills and mix as a group. Most of the other groups had sung together for years, so that was their biggest challenge, and they slammed it.

Hi guys good reaction as always.. Their 4. performance was blocked for years (Video killed the radio star) but now the block is over so you can react it normally it was one of their best performances in the show :D and from that song they killed the entire show :D :D

Yes, no sound is fine! Because that's a really good performance (basically it's when they started to find their strive..) Also, I loved that you picked up Kirstie's insecurity: her and Mitch were still finding their voice at that time, that's why Scott sings so many leads on the SingOff, because it felt a little more comfortable :)

The trio were only able to meet Avi and Kevin the day before they auditioned for the show so they were still trying to get used to each other and find the unique Pentatonix sound we all know and love today. From the fourth performance on they grow by leaps and bounds. Thank you so much for reacting to these performances.

All the other contestants had more than 5 members; which actually was more traditional for acapella groups apparently.

Yes, this was the only the third time that PTX had performed as a group--their first performance was their audition for "The Sing-Off (Telephone, by Lady Gaga). I don't know if the copyright status is different in Germany, but the fourth performance ("Video Killed the Radio Star") used to be blocked here in the US, but that changed last year and people could react to it with sound. You might want to check to see if that is the case in Europe as well. (I'm assuming that all EU countries will have the same status, since many of the laws have been harmonized for consistency.)

I guess that it helped that I’ve never heard the original version but, I pretty much disagreed with everything ‘constructive’ that Ben Folds said about Pentatonix until his words of advice at the end. You note that neither Shawn or Sara said that they didn’t like it, so I’m glad that they edited out much of Ben’s disapproval.

Well, that was only their 2nd performance and they only met the day before the audition so they were still finding themselves. They will get better and better and better through the competition. As to the 4th performance, while it was not included in the video of all the performances I have seen it done many times in other videos so please check that out.

The 4th performance used to be copyrighted but I'm pretty sure it is not anymore since about a year ago. I've seen other reactors have the 4th performance up ostensibly with no problem without pitching or anything. Just a heads up. Also really enjoy your reactions and analysis. I agree with you on this song; there was something oddly cluttered about it. It's definitely interesting to see how they grew throughout the competition. Looking forward to your next reaction :)

The crazy thing was that not only was the 4th performance blocked for a while, but so was all the other content/performances from that episode of the Sing Off. I still wonder what kind of claim caused a whole episode to be blocked. XD

You absolutely cannot miss the 4th and 5th, I'm most looking forward to those and 10th and 12th. And I'm pretty sure none of them are copyrighted anymore, cuz I've seen a few other reactors post those with no issues recently. So you can do all of them in order, I don't think it should be a problem. Yeah both Kirstie and Mitch were still relatively shy here, you picked up on that. Probably why Scott had so many of the leads. Can't wait for the next one :D If you wanna take breaks in between these to react to other things, I recommend Superfruit's Empire medley and Anti medley, Kevin's Renegade and PTX' No. Have a lovely day y'all :D

Please listen to the copywrited sing off performance with no sound on original video but yes sound on the two of you. We can call up the original vid on another tab and sync with you so can hear vid's sound from second tab while watching you on first tab. A lot of reactors do this so fans are accustomed to syncing. the 2nd and 3rd performances were their weakest. The 4th performance is where it all clicked for them as a group. They were the team to beat after that 4th performance. The 4th performance is no longer copywrited, NONE of them are copywrited any more!! ❤️ Kirstin did not want to sing solos and was very insecure. Mitch has terrible anxiety, and it was going full force during that time. He also stuck to being a tenor more back then. I dont think even he realized he was meant for higher notes. There are some mind-blowing performances coming up! I hope you keep watching and see them BECOME Pentatonix.
