I think she sings like she wants to sing, and it's also her songs, no one is obligated to listen/watch, or like it, she doesn't have to save or moderate anything if she doesn't want to., it's an artistic expression and you can see she likes to play with it, she doesn't have to follow any rules of performance, that would just be fake coming from her. Having said that, this is her previous stuff, now she seems to be on a diferent vibe, you should watch her recent presentations to have a more wider picture of her as an artist, like Singer performances, her latest concerts, her mashup of Queen/Every Woman on VH1 .

Samantha Ramos I do agree with that; I think she sings however she feels at the moment. At this moment she is more into emoting instead of “playing” but that may change again and that’s ok I just want her to keep singing to us because her voice is a gift

I completely agree sometimes she over does it when it’s not needed but this video is very old and these clips are old. She’s VERY MUCH improved on his problem she doesn’t go as over the top anymore at all she’s learnt to reel it back. You watched her performances on the singer in China and her placement was so good she didn’t over do it at all

Actually took the time to listen to her when she sung in China just last night. Was blown away at her pipes! Girl sure can blow! I love her poise and the emotion she sings with! Wish I could party with y'all but I had to move back to der ausland! Always enjoy what you bring to the table!

How is it possible not to like Jessie's voice? Anyone can explain me? Oh, there is nothing to explain because you may not like her tone etc. but the fact is that Jessie J is one of the baddest vocalist out there and she can sing the rings around other famous vocalist out there. She's a beast and her agility is insane! What a pity that people still underrate her...

I think that during and after Singer 2018 she learned to place the riffs, runs, trills, etc in the right places and at the right time, she also learned to slow down a bit her vibrato. Furthermore she learned to use more her low and middle ranges,. Her lows and middles are very sultry. She has matured enormously vocally speaking as well as a performer. Everytime she performs the same song she does it better. I don't know what the limit of "perfection" is but she is setting new standards lol.

In singer 2018 you could see 90% Jessica Ellen Cornish and 10% Jessie J so that’s why you don’t know Jessie J signature ad libs yet. Just explore her concerts. RockInRio 2018 is a gem but only contains 50% of 2011 Jessie J style wise if you know what I mean.

I understand what you mean (if I understood correctly since I don't speak eng) but I don't think it's a crucial point if we talking about Jessie as a singer; I believe that the crux is his voice and not how she decides to use it (because that is a subjective point of view). What is not subjective is the value of this woman as a singer; its vocal range is impressive and his vocal timbre is wonderful, starting from here you/we can discuss everything (including the use she makes of this gift). Sry (again) for my "google-eng", I hope you understand what I mean. PS I watched the whole video of Nobody's Perfect (2:50 here) and whatever I say doesn't do justice to what I saw and heard.

Not comparing, but Dimash can hold for 20 seconds and I think he has beat that but I would have to find the song. I would love you to listen to the rest of the songs in Singer 2018 that Jesse J did. There are some really quality songs. Of course, nothing can beat her rendition of purple rain. I still listen to it. But Jesse J did not win the show for nothing. Her songs in Singer 2018 are worth watching.

I agree with the parts that you say are overdone and I would add a few more. That's just personal taste. Singer 2018 was just right. She picked the perfect moments. I think KZ Tandingan is Jessie's disciple of sorts. Or maybe Cher Lloyd, as well, what's with the rapping. If you watch the Singer 2018 performances, the two have a thing there in which KZ says "I love you." and Jessie J can hear her and responds "I love you more.". Then on a later one they turn it around the other way with Jessie speaking first. It's probably scripted, though. If Jessie J now moves her base to China - or has some kind of operations there - I wouldn't be surprised if she takes KZ under her wings.
