I became less sympathetic when I heard how they portrayed the Serena Williams retirement story. I thought there was an actual reason for why she had to retire but it sounds like a millionaire just wants to have more children and is grumpy that if they were a male they'd be able to impregnate women and continue their tennis career. I'm glad they explained her pregnancy though, even if it's an unrelated experience. Happy that she was able to recognize something was wrong with her body and she was able to tell the staff about it so they could help her. Because I don't think there's anything an individual can do about blood clots other than tell their medical providers about it. It just seems like a story where if you looked at it by itself you'd think it's just a rich athlete complaining about their decision to retire at age 40.
