Marabou Spey, Holsinger's Fly Shop, Episode 502

Steelhead season is upon us now as I post this. Streamers and Spey style flies are great for catching steelhead this time of year. When I'm tying and need a break from my production tying I like to tie streamers. Here is a cool pattern with a few materials you probably already have other than maybe the hooks and the jungle cock eyes. Definitely substitute out for a different hook like the Firehole 718. By no means do you need the jungle cock eyes but if you have them use them to make more of a traditional looking pattern.
Like always, please go to our website, www.holsingers... for the materials needed to tie this fly. We don't carry the hooks in the shop that I used in the video. We could order them in for you or you can substitute them out with other hooks. My first choice would be a Firehole 718 and the size 6 is the same size the hook used in the video.
