Agreed, the cinematography is a fresh breeze to the usual 'stale styles' 🙂 Just a thought on another matter; perhaps just a bit more care on the location of certain animals in future? Keep up the good work 👍

Awesome video Ed. You nave inspired my wife and I to plan a trip next year. One of the few Sanparks we have never visited. As Capetonians, what is a good time of year to plan? I assume similar climate to the low veld? Tent preferences if you have one, Bontle and Tlopi? We only have a Tucson 2 week drive, high clearance but no 4 x4, will we manage on the gravel roads? Would apreceate the feed back. Looking foward to your next vidio

Howzit Brian, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. When it comes to time of year, it really depends what you are after. Going in winter was great, with a lot of activity around water and easier viewing through the bush. I say easier because they do have a bit of a seekelbos problem in places making viewing difficult. Never the less, winter I would say is better for wildlife viewing and temperatures are more manageable. I have been in summer twice before, both times with fairly hectic afternoon thunderstorms and very thick but beautiful and green bush. If you are a birder, this is the time to visit though. Climate is somewhat similar to the lowveld, perhaps a bit drier being a few hundred kms west. High clearance 2x4s should be fine on most roads, proceed down Mbidi road with caution... gets a bit rough but should be fine. At Tlopi, all tents are great but I recommend the Loerie tent as top choice. It is the furthest into the camp and most private. From here you have good views of one side of the dam. We stayed at Cormorant which was lovely, private and gave good views of both ends of the dam. Not too clued up on the tents/cabins at Bontle but if you are a camper then Rhino loop has the best views of the plain in front of camp. Monkeys are a nightmare as usual. They tore open another campers ground tent while we were there... If/when you get there, have a blast, its a gorgeous park!

Thank you, I think August sounds perfect. I'm a pensioner so we can score a huge 40% during the week on top of it. Thanks for the advice and thanks for the vidio, it's realy good. We have watched a few of your over the years, i can see you guys are parks lovers as are we. We also have a chanal Alexanders en route on all our Sanparks adventures. Mainly Kgalagadi, Addo and Kruger. Doing Mokala this new year, small trip with mates.

@@brianalexander7186 Brilliant! August should be lovely. Enjoy Mokala, another of my favorites. I will be there in January and then Karoo National Park in December. I am originally also Capetonian but am currently studying up here in Pretoria, so when I drive South I stop at Karoo and then Mokala when I come back up. Love them both. Thanks for the interaction Brian, I will definitely have a look at your channel! Cheers!
