I bought a 1060 when i was 16, and donated it when i was 60 still working. It's one hell of an amp.. good to see people think its worth all the work to save and use.. thanks

Six years as an electronics tech in the Navy and 40 years repairing office machines and I did a lot of soldering.and you're doing it better than me! I'm 67 and we just bought a new much bigger house. Now every family get together is at my house. I didn't think this through!

That was a good and neat job! I hear you that sometimes we foresee that the project will be quick but it takes a long time. You were very patient. My soldering and desoldering skills were absolutely horrible (and I still have to do a better job), so years ago I took same training on YT from EEVblog and xraytonyb because I was just damaging the PCB and taking forever to desolder components. Look forward to seeing your next project. I wish you Happy Thanksgiving too. (PS- I also like to eat good food, but I can’t cook anything… so when my wife doesn’t cook, I usually have to buy food at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, etc.)

I was looking at those on that jungle website.

@@PossibleAudio I was looking for one, then I saw Fran Blanche using this 'FA-400 Antidious Fume Extractor w/ filter' on her channel. I bought one on the jungle site, it works.

Been waiting (impatiently) to view part four this is so helpful. Who ever suggested using flux, what a great tip! Thank you! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I smoke a Turkey. My favorite is cornbread sausage dressing that I prepare a day ahead so my wife can have the kitchen Thanksgiving Day.

Did you find any mislabeling on the board for the transistors lead positioning?
@Geoduck.3 күн бұрын
@@curtwheeler5019 Do you have the service manual? I have not started rebuilding my 1060 yet. Check the service manual to the board. Also some updated transistors may have their legs changed. Be very sure to check the data sheet.
