i take it you didn't get the heart rate drop issue fixed? The big book of endurance training and racing (phil maffetone) is pretty much the only thing you'll ever need to get this fixed. It's a slow process but extremely rewarding. you basically rewire your body to start burning fat instead of sugars. in any case, i need to get on ice again, wintertime is just depressing if all you do is go out on the road. Think i'll take the 3 free tryout lessons with the local short track club & see if they'll take someone wanting to do marathons.
