I'm watching your YT channel front-to-back! FYI, @3:18 u can dramatically speed up Garmin GPS satellite lock by opening Garmin Connect & syncing your watch no more than a few hours before your run. This updates the GPS satellite almanac data cached on the watch which speeds up GPS acquisition.

Phily this is so bloody good!! You’re so natural in front of camera and the session itself wasn’t half bad either. Great insight, made running 19 miles sound fun and appealing and super honest!! Some seriously vigorous zipping up of your back pack at 5:20 though, maybe go a bit easier on that front in the future. Excited to follow the rest of your marathon build, keep the videos coming!!

Haha Tom I had to go back to 5:20 to see what you were referring to… I’ll treat my bag with more respect in the future 😬 and thank you, too kind 🤗

It's so inspiring to watch you moving so quickly! This is great motivation to keep pushing and stay focused as I head into my marathon taper. I always prefer some whey protein and spirulina blended with almond milk after a hard workout... I get the fuel I need without the stomach upset! Keep pushing!

Blummin ‘eck! That smoothie looks foul 🤣 Interesting to see tho as whilst I no way compare to your standard of running, I just can’t eat after a longer run (for me that’s 12k plus) and often struggle to fuel before too: anything an hour before or less just repeats on me during the run. Having followed your Vlogs more recently and skipped back to watch this one, it’s amazing to see how your Vlogs have matured and become ‘slicker’ in such a short space of time - good work 👍

@PhilyBowden2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Such an important topic and I’m a firm believer that a healthy menstrual cycle is key to a long career in running. I personally tend to feel worse the week before my period but it’s different for everyone. There’s a great app called Fitrwoman which tracks your cycle and gives you physiological recommendations at different times in your cycle based in sports science, around nutrition, types of training and how you can work with your cycle to train better! I could definitely do a video on this if there’s interest and good luck for your HM!
