Thank you Tori. Very good review from a marathon runner. I wonder if 'upgrading' would be a good idea to add more comfort but to also absorb more of the shock/pounding to my running. I believe Dr Scholl's did say 40% absorption. Thanks for the personal testimony.

If you had shin splints did this help with them?
@momdoessports3 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! In my experience i can say they will help. They helped with my shin splints and when they were worn out my shins would start to hurt so i would snag a fresh new pair!

Do u use them even when not racing? Like perhaps at work? Or it’s only good for running.
@momdoessports4 жыл бұрын
I wear them even on walks too. I don’t just put them in my shoes for the runs. I keep them in there all the time no matter what I’m doing! Dr Scholls also has insoles for work shoes like the Stylish Step insoles

@@momdoessports thanks for the prompt response, I appreciate that 👍🏻 But I have another question, U know how every shoe has that default insert , do u have to pull them out or u just insert the Schols inserts on top of it? More power to your channel I like your reviews coz I get easily put off from those who do helpful channels but they are so vain and post too much of themselves. (Like “lovoes “) U on the other hand is much more grounded. 👍🏻

Ooo yes always remove the inserts that come in your shoes first!! I guess i should’ve specified that in the video!! Thank you so much!

@@momdoessports I have worn them casually in a pair of retro Gola grandslam tennis shoes for a few weeks before trying them in my dedicated outdoor basketball shoes. Once I get a few more pairs of these insoles then I'll have em' in both these types of shoes..and won't have to swap them from one pair of shoes to the next.

Did you put them on top of the factory shoe sole or did you remove it? I'm looking for someone who has experience with doing both and truly knows the pros and cons of each.
@Sassysonia12342 жыл бұрын
Remove the factory insert but keep it just incase you don’t like the inserts you’re trying out. I always remove my shoe inserts carefully incase I dislike the soles I’m buying

Any idea how are they different from the scholls sports insoles? Which one is better? Im looking for basketball training/playing.
@momdoessports3 жыл бұрын
I would say they’d work for basketball training as well but the sports ones will def work too! The sport insoles have a massaging gel feature that the running ones don’t. Priced about the same though!

@@momdoessports is there the arch support on both? I kinda need it cause my ortho suggested an orthopedic arch support. "I have a flat feet"...🙄

@@simplyemaad I have these insoles and received them as a gift from a family member...I play basketball and train 5-6 days a week year round. For indoor-ONLY training I use carbon fiber insoles and I have 4 pairs of them but have more pairs of basketball shoes and don't always like to continuously swap out insoles... With all this said; I use dedicated outdoor basketball shoes and placed the DR S. running insoles in all my outdoor hoop shoes...I knew they would be good insoles for basketball because they have a mid foot shank and some light cushioning with dual density foam. The insoles came from CVS pharmacy (priced @$20). The mid foot shank is't hard but is rigid enough to provide support and additional torsional support. I didn't even have to trim the insoles...wearing a Euro 44 size. I will pick up more of these insoles for all my outdoor hoop shoes...I'll be out on thee court a lot more now that the season has ended and I'll be doing my own off season training outdoor soon. I train the youth as well in the summers. These insoles will outlast most of my outdoor shoes as well. They are EASILY durable enough for that....basketball shoe outsoles wear down every 2 months outdoors. The DR. S insoles are also easy to install and remove from your shoes...unlike my other indoor-only insoles. If you maximize your training and do game speed stuff, are always going downhill, and primarily are shifty you will appreciate the "response" and court feel you get from these insoles. It is ideal for basketball..indoors or outdoors. I think these are the best readily available affordable performance insole you can get for basketball, court sports, or running.

@@simplyemaad These are mass produced everyman's insoles, an over-the-counter product. A foot doctor would recommend a custom insole for arch support. If you don't have arch pain...then try out these DR.S running insoles because there is some...a light arch curvature and a slight metatarsal bump for comfort too. These are not standard flat insoles. I'd say try them because they are great for basketball.

@@jimmywarren01 great great stuff Jimmy... as of now I'm into EasyFeet and Dr.S - Sports version ... I Will get my hands on the running version... and try them... 👍👍 Nope no arch pain.. but jus that it's gradually prone to ankle knee and lower back injuries...hence the arch support/insole has come into my life... Ill try these .. and see if it works well.. Thanks again....🤝
