Love love love!! I watched the real time video on fb when you posted it and still amazed watching this again! Our bedroom suit is a gorgeous mahogany set with a four poster bed, armoire, tall bachelors chest and two nightstand with dark marble tops. Beautiful Job Brandy! 👏👏👏 Did I smell fear a couple of times 😁 This stuff is wonderful but when it's time is up. Izzzup! 😬 I would have totally freaked over the kids walking through after starting a pour. I don't let anyone in my pour area 30 minutes before or anytime after pouring until set up. Did you know that flies can come thru walls?? Literally 😳😖

Resin gives an amazing finish BUT it is a very toxic formula until cured. Even with proper ventilation you would still need to wear a respirator. Of course this was not always my outlook on the use of resin this came to me after setting up double pneumonia from using resin and a mini torch on tumblers. I didn’t know that I needed a respirator. I thought having the windows raised and an air purifier in the room with me was enough but it wasn’t . I have permanent damage from my mistakes and I hope this might help someone. Please don’t think that I’m being a Debbie downer!! Oh I did not realize how toxic this stuff really was until my left lung was permanently damaged and resin does not affect everyone the same. There are people that don’t wear gloves that don’t have proper ventilation and they never have a single issue then there are people that can just walk into someone’s house or garage or wherever the resin is being used and have a reaction so it’s different for everyone. That’s all I have to say I absolutely love your work it’s beautiful you are an inspiration to me and I hope no one gets on me too hard..

Thank you for being honest with this community. When my daughter was little, she broke out in serious raised hives all over her body from blowing the liquid plastic in a bottle into balloons, a popular toy store item at that time. Like we say in our sewing circles, measure= think twice, before "cutting/doing it yourself."

Yes, I agree, I definitely advocate using personal protection equipment. Some people do have different sensitivities. I'm fortunate that I do not, but always wear gloves, apron, work in an open area or mask up as needed. Always something people should be aware of

Love the way these turned out Brandy...Stunningly Beautiful girl...I am preparing to do my first Resin top and wanted to about your second pour on these...I saw you tinted the second layer white as well...assuming you used alumilite white dye again?? I was surprised your Beautiful color lines of gray and French Linen where not covered by the white you added to the second pour. What am I missing please before I start this myself, was gonna do it today the 26th but I will wait to hear from you first..

Yes, I chose to tint the 2nd coat with dye, not required, but I wanted to obscure the veins slightly, it was not enough dye to be opaque, just toned everything dowm

The tops of these pieces are beyond gorgeous! How many have you done to get to this stage of proficiency? I'd love to try it, but I'm guessing it takes LOTS and LOTS of practice to get to this point. I have a question about avoiding the look of drips on the edges, especially the front ones. Some of the drips from the first pour were pretty obvious when you were doing the second pour, and I don't understand how they can be "evened out"--if that makes sense. Thanks!

Why did you need to do a second pour after the first completed pour?

The first is never perfect, with glitter and mica it settles differently and gets worked more, ends up with minor flaws, the second coat perfects all of that. It's a flood coat, very normal to do to get perfectly glass like
