Damn that’s a good looking design. See if that was for green thin stuff ok. But I could have a very specific use of gar skinner if that thing had some weight to it. Like 1/4” thick that would be better than the cold steel one for that. Probably a good kitchen knife lol.

It's 1075 steel. It's made by Imacasa, a bigtime machete maker in El Salvador, they are also the people who make the Condor Knife and Tool products, which is aimed more for the US market, better fit and finish, nicer wood handles, etc but more expensive than the Imacasa(and Marbles) lines.

STOP! OH NO! Butthurt! He used a cleaver for batoning....haha, just f'in with you. Not a dink. Good stuff man. I subscribed to the man Tactical for the very reason he takes the tools out of their element. The whole what if you are stuck without anything else? Just this Marbles Bolo Cleaver, or a Schrade SCHF 35, or a Mora Bushcraft knife, in a pinch will it be a blade you can rely on? Plus he is entertaining so it works well. Thumbs up brother Tactical!

Hey tac! I wanted to comment under your review of the condor heavy kukri, but the comments were disabled. Nothing negative to say about you or the tests however i did want to mention i consider my condor heavy kukri a one tool option. There is definitely a learning curve for them and it took me years to be convinced of the advantages of the shape. I watched alone season one and saw the kukri being used by one of the men casted. I was rooting for him and when he won i decided to really piece it together. It sucks that you cant just put one in your hand and do everything better, but now its my go to in fact i ordered two more today after watching your review. Id take the kukri over my bk 9 or bk7 and we all know thats saying something.

Attention Uber bushcrafter types, mr. tactical understands the proper uses and intent's for the tools in his videos. they are not videos on proper use but rather a test of said tools. as such he goes above and beyond in the testing to include some abuse so you know what kind of quality to expect. so when commenting on these tools please try not to be one yourself. :-)

I know Marbles have good intentions, but like the first machete, the wooden handle still has that more wood than the full tang and that grabs and cuts your hands. The machete and this head-chopper (!) are for a full base camp environment, and not anything to want (even though you attempt feathersticking) in bushcraft as a critical equipment item. Sorry Marbles, even with the orange safety color, I just can't agree on this. I have my own hybrid knife-hatchet with multi-purpose features, and will still go with it, versus anything else I have ever seen. Good vid review though.
@EattinThurs616 жыл бұрын
John Lord But it is wood, you can modify it. Where I live we have some things called files, rasps and sandpaper. .. add tape or cordage or rawhide around handle fill out with epoxy... stain it, put linseed oil on it and make it your own. That is sort of the point of something this cheap. You have hands? Get some hard wood like walnut or Bubinga or buy an axe/pick (ash is very good) handle for raw material , make a handle of your own, it is like when you buy a house and renovate it value increases . Brass or copper for pins and a peen hammer.
