Such a great humble man. From south Alabama here, been listening to him for 17 years now. Finally got to go see him live about 3 years ago and I totally fan girled lol. Got to meet him after words and we hung out with his entourage during the concert. Just fun music, great voice, down to earth people! And yes, he sounds just as good live, hasn't had near as much credit in the music industry as he deserves! Love Marc Broussard (pronounced Brew Sard)

Marc Broussard has a number of albums called S.O.S. - Save Our Soul. He does covers of old soul and R&B tunes. I've yet to hear Marc do a bad song. The man is talented.

Mississippi Delta Blues. Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas are where the real old blue originated, eventually most recorded in a studio in Texas, Blind Lemon was from there and Robert Johnson.

I saw Marc in concert a few years ago, one of the best shows I've seen. It was in a big club/bar, everybody was close to the front where he was singing. He even did a hand stand, he really puts on a show.

Wow this brings back memories! I bought this CD when it first came out in 2004. This doesn’t ever get old, because it sounds older than it is, if that makes sense. 😏☺️ (I had to look at the liner notes for that date.😉)

That *totally* makes sense. Feels like it comes from multi-generational Bayou living.... Marc definitely showing some #OldSoul at a young age imho. :)

Not really Cajun music... It's more southern blues / swamp pop. He has an awesome cover of Solomon Burke "Cry To Me" where his father is playing lead guitar. His father is a blues guitarist in the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame

I live in lake charles louisiana and I listened to this song on my way home after hurricane Rita and fifteen years later after hurricane Laura to see if I still had a house. Still here. And this isn't Cajun music, check out videos from Fred's Lounge or something by the mamou playboys. 😁 Edited for typo.

He's not Cajun music. He's funk. Brossard pronounced BRUSARD. Look up zydeco for cajun music. Or some cajun blues with Tab Benoit.

Hey PG, so you want to discover new music. Well, maybe I can introduce you to one of my favorite Dutch talents; music performer Wende. She can sing everything betweet very small and vulnerable untill screaming her emotional lungs out. This last bit she shows in her latest cover of Jacques Brels "Au Suivant". I really need this song sometimes. Hope you like it too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGepgYekppeXqsU

Marc is a Cajun and he makes music but this isn’t traditional Cajun music. That isn’t to take away from how amazing Marc is! If you would like traditional Cajun music I would be happy to make some suggestions. Also, his name is pronounced Brew-sard

He is sweet as can be too.....about 15 years ago my son and I went to see him at a starbucks in Seattle. Before the show started my son went to the counter to get a snack and he was about 50 cents short. A nice guy behind him gave him the change to make the difference. Once the show started, my son said that the singer was the one who gave him the change.....Marc! Not only impressed that he helped out my boy, but that he also waited in line like everyone else to purchase what he was getting.

I still remember the first time I heard this. A massive talent. His appearance has changed a great deal through the years. I can't recall his fathers name. They do several songs together. His last name is 'Brewsard' as far as pronunciation.
