Marc Faber, an investment advisor, fund manager, media commentator and author, joins Small Caps share his views on the global economy.
Dr Faber discusses the role of central banks in the current global economic crisis and how their focus on asset inflation has led to misallocation of capital and a generation of people who cannot afford to buy properties without excessive leverage.
He also warns of an inflation crisis as interest rates rise and the negative impact of invisible taxes like inflation on people's cost of living.
Dr Faber thinks that gold, silver and platinum will do well for times ahead.
Described as 'something of an icon' by the Financial Times and 'the region's (Asia's) most notorious bear' by The Wall Street Journal, Dr Faber's contrarian investment approach and monthly Gloom Boom and Doom Report are familiar to all who have followed the markets in recent years.

How do you sell your gold, silver and platinum when fiat money is worth nothing? Who will buy such large denominations and with what if paper has become worthless?

Kerry n Marc , My wife here in Christchurch NZ lost her Kidsfirst Kindergarten Teaching job in May 2022 EVEN AFTER our Labour Government lifted their Vax Mandate. She had already had two Pfizer jabs, and Covid , yet was still told she wouldn't be used as a Relief Teacher due to not having a third vaccination. Her Employer continued the mandate until September 2022.... Thanks for your tremendous commentary today . Cheers

We love Marc here in New Zealand thanks Kerry. Marc has a wonderful overview from abroad and his experience and intelligence. Calls it like it is we need more real men like this. We are fighting against the tyranny of our government here in New Zealand. They attempt to take everything and want full control - The plandemic showed this we will fight and their already is huge social unrest . Crime and violent crime here is now huge. People cannot afford to pay rent and eat things are breaking everyday. Tourists are now easy targets here where I live and the impoverished are looking for easy targets. No longer a friendly country until we can get the country back from the Marxist authoritarians that are now “behind the wire”.
