If you look at a gold charts when it pertains to a recession there is a dip before a springboard event so when it was at the 1820 dollar mark that was the springboard and so through a whole recession it goes down first and then skyrockets which means we are in a recession because more times than not this is the exact situation on the charts

I think capital flows from Europe, South America and Asia are the reason the Dow, Nasdaq, and S and p are at high or record highs. The US is perceived by the rest of the world as being the most stable, and economically vibrant country in the world. I do agree with Dr. Faber, that many/most asset classes will go down in inflation adjusted dollars, and not nominal dollars in the coming decades.

Not a sound analysis of CRE issues. Looking back to the GFE- I didn’t feel better cuz my property value went down, even if my taxes sent down. And rent didn’t drop for a while cuz land lords have insurance and inflation to deal with-and a mortgage at previous valuations!!!!! Oh and by the way, CRE failures take the banks down just like in the GFC. That’s all I need to see. Skipping the rest of this one.

Great interview with a knowledgeable, well-read, and experienced gentleman. That said, the good professor exaggerated about the Bible to make a joke, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He's right that much of the Old Testament was written 500 years or more after things happened, but most of the New Testment was written 90-150 years after the actual events, and still, the Gospels agree fairly closely on what happened and what was said by whom, as if the authors were inspired. And, to his point, most ignore its wisdom.

Marc, the Bible wasn’t written thousands of years after it happened. It was written as they happened or shortly thereafter. A good portion of The New Testament was written by The Apostles who lived with Jesus and were of his generation. A lot of it was written in their prison cells. Now you’re misleading.
