Galt's Gooch Bucky nicely said. I like your perspective. Saying you're colorblind is ignorant. We live in a physical world and physically I'm white and black people are black. No denying this, and pretending like it doesn't exist or matter is racist in itself. The most non racist is the person calling blacks black and whites white. Simple as that. Accept stereotypes because they exist for a reason. Because they can be true sometimes. Do all black people steal? Fuck no; but do a lot of black people steal fuck yes lol. Its not racist it's the truth. Just like how I feel this urge to make a comparison about white people hit fuck it. We all know of stereotypes about white people. Do I NEED to mention one just because I said one about blacks? Why should I? An intelligent person gets my point without the comparison. Get my point? Fuck race and fuck a reason to ignore it. DONT ignore it. Embrace that shit my nigga

White? Uncolored people(for lack of a better term) all get lumped together under white. We're not! I get alot of "you wouldn't understand because you're white." That statement puts me in this box filled with Disneyland, rainbows, and privileges I've never even heard of. Somewhere there needs to be a compromise. The World at large just got smaller. This man was a true genius. He was the first professional comedian to make me laugh out loud since Schimmel & Carlin. Hicks made me 'think.' That's what Patrice did, AND could make you laugh out loud. Mark knew he was one of kind too. I used to look at him when he and Patrice were on TCWCQ, and you can see him looking at Patrice like he was ALWAYS getting to something relevant, and funny - which of course, he did - and made it look lie a random thought - which, many times it was. The Man had big balls and an even bigger brain, and behind the 'race issues' (which he justifies with complete clarity too, by the way - he isn't wrong about what he is trying to say - he understands the dynamics of colonization and slavery better than any historian or philosophy professor) he probably had an even bigger heart. Too bad it was 'enlarged.' I know his health was not good, but I still wonder, did he start going too deep, like Hicks? Whether he did himself in, or they did it to him - The good ones always leave too soon. Rest In Peace, Patrice. I'm gonna miss him. You just felt smarter listening to Patrice in interviews like this one. Thank you Mark Maron and Black Phillip.

@@briandavis55 do you not see how embarrassing it is for you to project your political/social hang ups on someone else? you've adopted "red pill" as something that's important to you - don't attribute it to someone who isn't even around to verify it. you use some cringe 4chan reference in your day to day life, that's your own problem. nobody elses that you're not creative or nuanced enough of a person to just exist and feel and think your own things.

This is one of the greatest interviews I've ever listened to. I found it incredibly insightful, thanks for uploading.

The beginning of this fucks me up. You're not irrelevant Patrice. Your voice and trumpet laughter is booming through my workshop speakers. I recommend you all the time to other dudes that I know you can improve like I have. You won't be forgotten as long as I'm alive. You're more relevant than any other comic. Carlin was profound but his words aren't relevant to the average Joe everyday like Patrice's words are. Rest in peace man, I'll miss you forever even tho I've never met you and I started binging your stuff in January this year. 6 months and the words have already made such an impact. It's sad that Patrice can't enjoy our support since he's been dead. If he was alive .. bro. Patrice would be a fuckin God. The champion against Cancel Culture and all that.

This was the best single interview of his that I've heard, and I've tried to listen to all of them.

I'm glad I found this and can't believe I missed it all these years. As much as I've heard Patrice talk like this plenty of times, I like the podcast format because it's strictly conversation, like its who he really is, and honestly, he's really mentally together on life. There's a difference between ranting, because u have animosity and anger, than speaking honestly about who u are and just being yourself. He's got good insight cause he's positive, and tries at least, to understand everything. It's like, "maybe I'm wrong, but this is my take and I'll debate from there, and here's my flaws as well." Most people are not like that unfortunately. RIP Patrice O'Neal....What a loss

I didn't appreciate Patrice O'Neil until after he was gone. I liked the stuff that I saw, but I didn't realize what a comedians comedian he was. This podcast is brilliant.

Dude this opening made me cry, I was too young to get into comedy before he passed away, I just discovered him about 3 years ago, this dude was a genius and every comic from bill burr to Norm talked very highly of him, I wish he was here today
