Marc, back in the early 90's, made lots of appearances on Conan's show when he still did it from NY. That's where I first heard him. And Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. Great, underappreciated animation.

I love Dr. Katz. It's great that they're all available on KZbin. So many people who went on to bigger things had their 1st chance on Dr. Katz. I regularly go back to Bakery Ben - that Baker is hilarious. I never bothered to find out who plays him, or look up other stuff he did

I was at Luna Lounge every Monday night between 1995 and 2005 and saw Marc dozens of times perform in what was effectively a workshop in public. It included Sarah Silverman, Louis CK, Zack Galifanakis, Todd Barry, and many more... I was very lucky to be there on Ludlow Street in NYC at that time... :)

Song and Dance Man is a lovely sounding occupation. Fitting for a person so responsible for laughter and motivation in my life. Thank you

Am I the only one who feels bad for his current girlfriend (Kit) when the subject of Lynn comes up? Those of us who have been through his many relationships over the years have only heard him get really sweet and emotional about Lynn. He seemed really happy with and proud of Sara (the painter), but I don't remember hearing Marc get really sentimental.

Josh, you don’t to need laugh, chuckle, and giggle at every single thing Marc says.

Host, I get it he's a comedian, but your excessive laughter is distracting. I nearly bailed but am a big Maron fan.

Wow fuck Josh for involuntarily laughing at a comedian being funny I guess

@@SystemFailing Is this your first interview? Involuntary? They were obsequious, nervous laughs, which I kind of understand with a guest whose specialty is talking. Merely suggesting trying to be a bit more subtle in fawning.

I think Josh was a great interviewer. I appreciate that he doesn’t constantly interrupt as some hosts do. I love Marc. Listening to his show and watching his Instagram lives helped get me through 2020. In my family we use dark, sometimes irreverent humour to get through all sorts of difficult life events. It connects us and makes things bearable.

Completely agree. It’s so excessive I’m struggling to make it through. I think he’s too eager to make a connection and is forcing it to go well. Many not great talk shows are full of constant forced laughter.
