More Marc Martel PLEASE! Marc is not only stunning singing Queen but he has a truly gifted voice for many songs and styles. Marc is a Canada guy (living in Nashville) who began as a Christian musician when the opportunity to audition for a Queen sanctioned tribute band. He got the job and now tours on his own with a Queen tribute band. He's a nice guy and a truly gifted musician!

I saw Marc live with the Black Jacket Symphony doing "A Night at the Opera" on Dec. 2. He blew us away. This man, the way he organizes the piano in this take to fill in the missing voices, well, it's perfect. At the end of it, I don't feel "less" with this huge song. Instead, it still entertains to the Nth degree. He's talented to the next level. LOVED your reaction because you know what to listen for and I enjoy learning more about the process. Since you're a "sound guy," here's one you'll like. Marc got together with Warren Huart of "Produce Like A Pro," for a version of Queen's "Let Me Entertain You." Marc is a good Freddie "impersonator". I prefer Freddie or Queen's choice for their new front man (which Marc Martel agreed was the best choice) Adam Lambert. Marc is a good singer and was picked by Roger Taylor to head the Queen experience before Queen picked up Adam and started touring again. From what I have read he left and started his own Queen cover band leaving ticket holders that thought they were going to see him not and upsetting Roger and Brian. They picked someone to tour with them that didn't sound like Freddie because that would have been too hard for them. I wish Marc all the success because I know he has a big following and is very talented.

Your timeline needs a little work. QUEEN announced a tour with Adam before having an online contest which Marc won, for the Queen Extravaganza and later meeting Marc. Marc HAS always been positive and complimentary of others.

They were commited to Adam before Roger decided to start his own tribute band. And it was always far more complicated than "Marc deciding to leave" . Repeating a line that infers that Marc actively abandoned QuEx when he was in fact forced to choose between honouring booking dates that had been made for some time while the band was on 'hiatus' read : parked with no bookings and no start date - and no income - and continuing with QuEx is wrong but has been actively done for years by a certain coterie of Queen and QAL trolls perpetuating the myth for years that it was Marc's fault when in fact Marc for his entire decades long career had actively never missed a commitment even with colds, flu etc and would never abandon a commitment or his fans short of losing his voice to illness which finally happened on a European tour in 2020 . Or a pandemics happens... And it was up to Roger and Brian to do a proper promotional campaign for Alirio when they booked him, to be fair to HIM and to fans. But did they? No. And still haven't really. And there are fans who still book to see QuEx in the belief that they will see Marc for that reason.

@@marcfan1822 They are still using Marc's voice and name in the Queen Extravaganza band advertising! I feel awful for Alirio that they seem to want to keep using Marc to promote ticket sales, instead of showcasing their music with the current band members.

I see the others have chimed in with good information. I'll just touch on the impersonation part. If you listen to Marc sing other songs, before and after being discovered by Roger, you hear the similarities. I don't understand why some people cannot just give the man a shout out for his God-given talents. I "impersonate " Freddie, but I sound horrific! Marc sounds like he does because it comes naturally to him.
