We drive the peach (our HJ sedan) to Avalon raceway to test drive a wingless sprint car! Big thanks to Paul Drew from Garden City Auto Wreckers for giving us the opportunity!

Sprint cars are awesome, the ones here are all v8s and so damn fast it is scary! Hard to control I imagine too

Its not hard. Once you figure it out and realize you have to have balls to run them right.

I built a 383 for a mates Sprintcar and messed with a V6 methanol wingless back a bit..My mate said "It's like tearing up $100 bills at 100 MPH while people are throwing rocks at you"...
@Big-Show14 жыл бұрын
What class runs 383? was it wingless? winged sprint cars are usually 360 or 410. Outlaws are 410

I've never been to Avalon but I used to follow Tony Grinstead around in the late 80s, he ran a Camaro Super Sedan at Bendigo, Sheparton, Warnambool etc and did very well.

Scooter Lee1775 not a lot of starters put on sprint cars in PA. I think sportsman’s might have them, the bigger cars certainly don’t!

Here in the states Sprints are the highest horsepower to weight ratio cars made other than top fuel cars,Most of the sprints here are 360 and 410 ci engines the 360s are 500 to 750 hp and the 410s are 750 to 1100 hp and that is in a roughly 1000 lb car they run both asphalt and dirt here and have seen some 12 second half mile lap times with the WOO winged 410 guys on dirt. They are a kick in the pants and they dont self start here got to be pushed off only have a in out box.

What I would not do to own a right hand drive car or truck. Its a long time dream of mine to own one but all the ones here in the US are very high dollar. I even have it on my bucket list but i think the only way I will ever even get to drive one is go over seas to places that have them all over.

only thing I can recommend if they ever let you get behind the wheel again. learn your apex of the corner. i never once say you actually hit 1 apex. you need to diamond the track if you don't know what that means you don't belong on the dirt my friend and i rec stay on pavement till you can figure it out :) no hate not shade, just simple facts from a dirt racer. GL and I hope you can figure it out and V6 doesn't belong in a sprint car.

@tedcoach45164 жыл бұрын
Castlemaine Rod Shop not necessarily a beginner class, some of them guys would make the winged “experienced” drivers look silly ( they do when they come non winged) just Australian speedway insurance won’t allow non winged to have a v8 motor. One of my friends races them competitive class

@@tedcoach4516 I'm here to tell you right now a guy in a V6 ain't making a 410 wing driver look silly. Theres a BIG difference between 410 and a V6... 410s is where the men play.
