I bought one and am looking forward to using it. A question though, would I need to speak Italian or with an Italian accent to make my pasta taste better?

So beautifully explained! Thanks a ton❤ One question please, what is a better way to to package fresh pasta for sale? Packing it frozen or drying out the pasta or using vaccuum sealing?
@Consiglioskitchenware4 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comments and question. I also find freezing fresh pasta to be the best method for sale. Hope that helps. Thanks!

Alright, you convinced me. This will be used to condition polymer clay. But if I decide to make my own pasta I'll have the option to.

The packaged attachments are for fettucine and vermicelli? I used what I thought was the spaghetti side on level 6. Seemed like it turned out very thin, almost angel hair. Suggestions please 😃
@benjaminsoans73354 жыл бұрын
Mine says it's Fettucine and Tagliolini. I had to buy the additional spaghetti cutter which is 0.5 mm thicker than Tagliolini. I think it should also be round and not flat like the default cutters which ship with the Atlas 150 but the product hasn't been delivered yet so I'm not sure.

Hey Jeff, so sorry for the delayed reply. Marcato 150's come with Fettucine and Tagliolini. You can purchase additional attachments separate. Had mine for 40 years ,hundred of pounds of pasta made ,still looks new Whatever you do ,don't wash it ,just a wipe down with a dry cloth
@Consiglioskitchenware2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jimmy, This is correct, never submerge in water. Always use a dry/lightly damp clean cloth to wipe off any left offer pasta residue. Link to Marcato - www.consiglioskitchenware.com/collections/marcato Have a great day!

I just purchased my Murcato and made my first batch of ravioli which turned out amazing! I can't seem to get my fettuccine to go through without sticking and clumping up in the machine. Would you be able to give me any advice on what I may be doing wrong?!
@Consiglioskitchenware2 жыл бұрын
@@traceykeating6272 Hi Tracey, thats great to hear! You might need to add a little more flour to the mixture. This tends to happen when the dough is too moist. Here is a simple recipe I have created that can be used as a guide - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqbdgYSmm7doY5Y

I am looking at purchasing a Vintage Deluxe ATLAS PASTA QUEEN Noodle Making Machine by MARCATO but it doesn't appear to have the plastic removable anti friction combs...does that matter? He is selling it for $30 but i want to make sure it will be easy to clean and work properly without the removable combs.

Hi RJ, Unfortunately, I cannot confirm if it will be compatible. Thanks for the question.

Can I make medium sized ravioli with this machine or do I need to purchase an additional attachment? I want one of these for Christmas. LOL

Hi there, Marcato offers two ravioli attachments. Ravioli 1.2" Squares - www.consiglioskitchenware.com/products/marcato-atlas-150-raviolini-attachment-12-inch-squares Ravioli 1.7" Squares - www.consiglioskitchenware.com/products/marcato-atlas-150-ravioli-maker-attachment-17-inch-squares Thanks for the comment.

You can make ravioli by laying down a flat piece of pasta dough, pouring little mounds of filling through a funnel bag in a square pattern, covering with a layer of flat pasta dough, and then using a really tiny rolling pin between the fillings, and then cutting between the fillings. Boom! You have made ravioli without an expensive and wasteful accessory.

How well would an almond flour work with this machine?
@Consiglioskitchenware11 ай бұрын
Hi there, great question. You can certainly experiment. Almond flour can be sticky which is a concerning or challenging aspect. You would need to ensure each lasagna sheet is coated with enough flour to prevent sticking. Good luck!

What metal are the rollers made from?

Hi Laura, Roller and Cutter Material - Alloy rollers and cutters instead of nickel, which is used on cheaper brands. Smooth precise operation for the most discerning cooks and chefs. Thanks!

Normally I see the spinach cooked before blending. Is there a reason you don't cook yours?
@Consiglioskitchenware Жыл бұрын
Hi Kathy, Great question! I like using the raw spinach as it yields a brighter green colour :) Cooked spinach is usually used for ravioli filling from my past experiences Thanks!

What number do you stop at for the fettuccini and the ravioli. That’s the only information that isn’t explained properly. Thank you.
@Consiglioskitchenware4 жыл бұрын
Toni Dantonio good question. It all depends on your preference on the thickness you enjoy. I normally stop at setting 7 which is two notches away from the thinnest option (9). Hope that helps.

I try using it for chinchin but didn't come out well.... Pls help me.
@Consiglioskitchenware4 жыл бұрын
Glory Chibaby , chinchin is like a cookie, correct? I’d be happy to help. Is the dough sticking? If so please dust the dough lightly with flour prior to rolling it through the roller. If it is too dry and cracking then the dough must be a bit more tender. Add a touch of water to the dough to create a more tender dough. Always start off with the thickest setting on the pasta maker. Roll the dough through and then move one notch at a time, passing the dough through each time until desired thickness is reached. Hopefully this helps. Let me know!

Hello I am making lasagna sheets what number should I go up to thank you so much
@Consiglioskitchenware4 жыл бұрын
Hi Delia, you want to start at 0 and pass the dough through the machine each time increasing by 1 number. For lasagna we find the second highest # 8 to be ideal for a final perfect lasagna sheet thickness.
