Never been so excited about a video just by reading the title

I’ve recently started playing FM and your videos are the best way for a novice to understand the tactical depth of thought required and to savour the game. Please keep making such great videos!

Good explanation, I prefer watching a video rather than reading endless pages of a website, making a tactic and not getting the result i wanted in the first place.

It's cool that you made this video and selected a team in Torino and didn't use the first window to get players in. Dealing with the players you start with is nice!

I tried to replicate Bielsa's Leeds before discovering this video and the result was a 4-1-4-1 with almost all the same roles and duties and team instructions as you did. Little differences here and there but mostly for my lack of knowledge about Football Manager mechanics. For example, I wanted to set my WingBacks to Inverted-WingBacks but I then was worried I will lose width, I didn't know if I order the team to overlap on the flanks they will give me that width. I also didn't know the early crosses worked this way, I watched another of your videos where you explain this. Amazing video as always and I'm glad I was able to get almost the same tactic as you did.

Early days trying it out with my West Ham save (Feb in first season) but it’s been great! I already played with a variation of my own but not playing with IWBs, so my chaps were already familiar with the shape. Now I’m getting a better performance with Declan Rice as Half Back. You’re tactic analysis are always great but I’m loving this one. Keep up the good work brother!!!

Having fiddled multiple times since FM16 trying to replicate various Bielsa styles, I agree this is about as close as authentic FM gets to Bielsaball. I would probably play a supporting Mezzala in the 4141. But that's splitting hairs, as I agree the need there is the proper player traits to control the tempo of the game.

Hi, really fond of your videos, they are extremely useful and i am amazed by your understanding of the game. Would you recommend any books, articles etc. to get better understanding of the game tacticly?

Hi man great video really enjoy your stuff on here. I've started a save as Leeds and I want to get as close to bielsa as possible and still win games which version of the tactic would you recommend the 4141 or 3313. Also do you set short passing up on your players i noticed it on some of the players on the 4141 but I couldn't see it on the other tactic. Thanks again great work
@BusttheNet4 жыл бұрын
Not always, it depends on the style of play i want. If i do go around using short passing, it will be slightly different.

Awesome tactic and a very good replication! I wanted to ask if you have attempted a Diego simeonesque tactic one fm20, I am finding it extremely hard to replicate and get good results. Not expecting to make it kill teams left right and centre but it’s near impossible for me to find the right balance.

Why IF and not a winger on the right flank? also why norrow attack? using the width is one of his basic principles
@nivo114 жыл бұрын
I had the same problem/question in my head since i bought fm20. Every time i try to do a possession tactic with wide attack width (which imo is a must do thing in RL football) never work pretty well. When i turned the width at standard or narrow magically 60%+ possession... Which tbh i don't like it cause id like to play fm with RL conditions
@dkoul36864 жыл бұрын
@@nivo11 You just need 2 players who play wider. If those players have the PI "cross more often" you can add the TI work ball into box. At least that's how I see it
@leeward10934 жыл бұрын
How do you set up your set pieces with these tactics? Cause ive considered so many times from attacking corners being caught out at the back cause of players marking, they just wonder off lol
@TheJosel964 жыл бұрын
Hi Daljit! Is it possible to use the Forward as an DLF on attack or even on support or that just kill too much this tactic? That's the one thing that I would change, as Bielsa is my favourite manager, but his forwards sometimes drop deeper.

I use Leeds United as my team on FM. So great in Pre Season (including 4-1 against Boca Juniors) but when the season start it's hard to maintain the trends... any sugestion?
@BusttheNet4 жыл бұрын
Yeah several things. Use the average ratings and last 5 games to tell you which players are on good streaks. Then keep using the same players but track those whose performances have declined in training or in games and warn them. (6.6 and lower). They sometimes get a boost which in turn has a knock on effect on performances and finally match preparation is very important . Cover all areas during slumps. When you have a fixture congestion prioritise match preparation activities.

Would you be able to do Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United tactic with the overlapping centrebacks?
@BusttheNet4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. I can get them to overlap but its not consistent enough as a tactical strat

amazing, can you do the same aplied for other coach like diego simeone ?

My Maves 442 system from last season still works on FM20 and is based around Simeone.
@edweenieee79394 жыл бұрын
how about his Leeds possession style? can it be replicated?
@bertilosheim75774 жыл бұрын
Is there a reason why you use standard pressing intensity in this and most of your other tactics (Maves, Liquid, Molten)? In your video on high press on pressing lines guide you did a high block with extremely urgent, but not in this tactic, why not?
@dariuspalmer28294 жыл бұрын
With such a high intensity players tend to get dragged out of position
@mato75034 жыл бұрын
I really liked the replication. I see just one problem, Bielsa always uses the full width of the pitch. If the WB underlap, there the wingers stay open. If the wingers cut inside, there the WB overlap. I think that it works well with IWB and overlap TI. But you couldn't replicate the use of the full width. Is it possible?
@BusttheNet4 жыл бұрын
Yes still possible if you wanted to use the full width, my side is just terrible at full pitch play

What's the rational for inside forward with inverted wing back?
@bogdanscoromide60094 жыл бұрын
I have yet to see a single person make an FM tactic that doesn't s**t on the most basic principles of non-contradiction... He has two inverted wingbacks with the team instructions set on "overlap"... Also, "hit early crosses" + "low crosses"
@BusttheNet4 жыл бұрын
@@bogdanscoromide6009 Lol, this is where an understanding of what player instructions and team instructions do helps people play the game a bit more effectively. An IWB with an overlap with good decisions will occassionally either go overlap or underlap.
