Excellent recording of Dupre's composition. Absolutely love this instrument and the tonal colors it can produce. That 32' Contre Bombarde coupled with the trompette en chamade is terrifying and exhilarating all at once.

there might not be any other CC organ more suitable for this piece. (good lord that 32 foot rumble in the first reprise...)

Thank you so much! Since I heard it for the first time, like a year ago, I needed a score-video with it, so I could see what the score looks like. Again, thank you so much!

Wonderful ! This piece seems VERY difficult to play, like often from Marcel Dupré. Thank you for this performance !

I’m glad you like it, I might be misunderstanding what you ware saying but I didn’t play this piece and won’t be able to for a long time (if ever!), the performer was Yves Castagnet. I’m not sure if you saw that. Thanks anyway!

@@julianmatthews5785 No, I had understood that it was Yves Castagnet, I was just thanking you for this recording ! Regards. Jacques, from France.

An old classic, demands a 3 manual organ & acoustics to go with it. A lot of work, said my teacher Michel Chapuis, who had this in his head

@julianmatthews57853 жыл бұрын

@Barrawitzkaa Жыл бұрын
wolfgang ....
