His wife is his interpreter. His mother left him at age 2 and they put him in jail with his dad for a while. A guard adopted him but at age 7 he found out the guard was not his father and he ran away to find his family. At age 24 he entered the Phillipines Got Talent and won! That was in 2011. God blessed him with an awesome talent and gift. I just love him.

Marcelito entered Philippines got Talent because he hoped his family would see him, during the contest there was a nation wide search for his family and they found them. His family were at the final, Marcelito sang The Prayer and he now says its his signature song because its the song that changed his life. Bless him.

Yeah there is another video out same one the full intro of Marcelito where he gives a brief summary of his story before he sang. He went on his very first singing competition in hopes of finding his family he won the competition and literally because it was on TV the whole country took part into helping Marcelito find his family and they all came to see him sing in his final competition competition

It's fun watching people freak out when they hear Mareclito sing. He's amazing...both with his "male" and "female" voices. AGT was so rigged. He actually was the 6th person that night but they wouldn't give him the golden buzzer because than he wouldn't be on until the finale and they wouldn't get the audience to watch him every week. It's all about money. They treated Marcelito horribly. If anyone deserves the golden buzzer it's Marcelito Pomoy. He came in 4th place behind acrobats and a dance team. He was the no 1 singer on the show. I won't ever watch AGT because of how they treated this man and I'm not alone in that attitude. He's had 2 tours in the US since than. I saw him in Chicago in 2017 and as much as I had listened to him I sat there with my mouth open because he is so good. You just can't believe what you are hearing. His voice is so crisp and clear and he sings like it's nothing. He's also a very humble man and thanks God for his talent. Make sure you listen to his version of Perfect. I think it's better than the original and he does it in English and Italian. It's my favorite song of all he does. I just love this guy and he deserves everything that is coming to him. He's just a nice man who, probably, is the best singer in the world.
