So all those thing that happen to Angelito which is Marcelito Pomoy his childhood experience was not easy .But God was always guarding him no matter how his family treated him he still fairly accept them. Thank you so much OAGOT for inviting my Idol, nalaman ko lalo kung gaano kababait and Most Humble Celebrity there is. I saw him here in Canada Concert in 2019 and now I'll see him again in July 2022. One thing I truly admire in Marcelito is that in all the situations he met in life especially in growing up, he still respected his parents and blood siblings!. .......... Oh my, Marcelito, your life story could be put into movie! You are amazing ....... how you survived all those years ...... it's amazing coming from your own mouth!!! God blessed these two people with initials MP , they are Manny Pacquiao and Marcelito Pomoy. Both are humble and the talent God gave them is outright exceptional. Manny was given an impossible stregth on his boxing career on the ring, and Marcelito Pomoy was given an exceptional quality of voice, rendering mighty , full and smooth singing voice. And they both almost have the same childhood of poverty and at tender age of 3 or 4 ,7 they knew what is hard labor. I always pray for these two blessed and impossible people. I cry when i see them on screen. They are both kind and philantropist. Iam always praying to God to bless these two people more with good health, and resources. Amen amen amen.

With pleasure. He talked in more detail how he was "pushed" by his eldest sister to join bigger singing contests including Philippines Got Talent. She was not so kind to him when he first found his biological mother and his eldest sister. Despite all that, he thanks her because she was the reason why he wanted to improve his lot in life. He convinced her to have their mom stay with him now that she is getting older. What his mom was not able to do for him as a child, he said, he would like to provide her now that they are together. He talked about how he met his wife Joan. He was the invited entertainment at her patents' silver wedding anniversary. She was intently staring at him while he was singing. He would take a non airconditioned bus for 6 hours with flowers at hand and chickens next to him when he was courting her. There's more and I wish I had more time. I would only say that Marcelito opened up more candidly in this interview more than any other. Oh yes, he said his real name was Angelito and when he asked his bilogical father for his birth certificate, his biogical father gave his name as Marcelito and used his last name instead of the adoptive family name of Makawili.

@@christinetaylor3817 What I am so impressed with is that it sounds like you listened to the whole interview without knowing the language. Thankfully we speak Taglish...a combination of Tagalog and English. I can tell you ate a true fan like me. BTW, Marcelito gave tribute to his wife in this interview saying that she is the one person who saved his career and not give up on him. She would not allow to him give up the entertaiment business as he had entertained the idea when the bookings were slim pickings; he said he would have been quite content looking after their Hardware stores (they now have 3). She got him to do the Wishbus 107.5 video of The Prayer, hooked him up with Ellen, and eventually AGT. She told him while you still have a voice, keep going. Is that loving support or what? Destiny has put them together for us, his fans, to enjoy. I must say I am not only a BIG FAN of his, but also of hers. Cheers from Toronto.
