It's always fun to see somebody reacting to this the first time especially if they haven't seen him at all before.. when he was born his mother abandoned his family and his father went to prison for a long term. He wound up living in the prison with his father until he was 3 years old. A prison guard adopted him. When he was seven he discovered he was adopted and ran away to find his real mother. Wound up as a street child in the Philippines. Subsisted on odd jobs and eventually singing. By the time he was 18 he managed to get it into an apartment. Worked as a singer eventually won Philippines got talent. The song you have just watched went viral online making him internationally famous internationally famous. He appeared on America's got talent champions. Marcelito has a third grade education. He's married with at least one child. I don't know if he's ever had any musical education of any kind but he couldn't have had much before he got famous because there was no money. Incredibly talented.

Hi Jennifer. HAAA! I think this performance is the most fun to watch when a reactor hits Play. As you know, Marcelito is a Philippino whose native language is Filipina, yet he impersonated Celine's and Andrea's voices, in her French-tinged English and his Italian, meticulously. I describe his talent in this way: he has a completely unique memory that allows him to capture every nuance that he hears and then his magnificent voice allows him to reproduce it precisely. That explains his unusual ability to create a purely female voice. I have heard no other male singer that can actually produce that exact feminine sound. That funny thing he does after the song is his humble sense of humor - the Sound Engineers were teasing him about his "female" voice so he was "removing" it. He has a charming stage presence and does many duets - each time capturing female and male parts flawlessly. Welcome to the World of Marcelito. Have a very Merry Christmas.

Marcelito is absolutely amazing. The main difference between Dimash and Marcelito is that Dimash has been classically trained since childhood, but Marcelito is completely self taught. That makes Marcelito's performance far more impressive.

Hi Jennifer, funny to watch your reaction since you are new to Marcelito. The background story is worth delving into. At a young age he was abandoned by his mother in the Philippines to live on the streets. His mimic talent was self taught so he was not voice trained in the great schools. He so wanted to reunite with his mother so his quest was to go national TV on a show like AGT so in the hope his mother would find him. He became a sensation and he was reunited with his mom during the contest. He is a national hero in the "rags to riches" tradition. As a footnote, he came in second on AGT where he lost to Angelina Jordan doing Bohemian Rhapsody. To me on his own, he is a fantastic singer in addition to his mimic talent. There are so many great talents from the Philippines. Have a wonderful holiday and loved the honest eye opening review.

Marcelito has never had any vocal lessons. He was abandoned by his mother at age 2. His father was in jail but there was no one to take care of him so they put a 2 year old in jail with his dad. A jail guard decided to adopt him and when Marcelito was 7 he learned that the guard's family was not his own family and he ran away to find his family. He lived alone on the streets of the Phillipines and earned about a $1 a day to feed himself. He worked resetting bowling pins and feeding chickens. Those were lucky chickens because while he was watering and feeding them he sang to them. lol When he was 18 he discovered he could sing the soprano (or female voice). He heard about Phillipines Got Talent when he was 24 and he thought maybe he could find his family through that tv program. He won the Contest and his family was in the audience when he won! He also placed on America's Got Talent - The Champions in 2020 and should have won! I have yet to hear anyone with his talent - God truly blessed him with an awesome gift to sing his many voices. I just love him!

Thanks for appreciating another Pilipino Artist like Morissette Amon. Marcelito has no Vocal Training in all of his freaking life. He discovered his God Given Raw Talent while tending chickens in a Coop. Try to react to his performance in America Got Talent: Champion Edition wherein all of the Winners of "Got Talent" around the world compete. Tho he landed 4th Place he was the overwhelming audience favorite and went Viral. BTW, Pilipinos defy the norm by singing while Sitting. Not only they feel relaxed but also they've been used to it since in their younger years while singing on KARAOKE (Pilipinos call it VIDEOKE). These wonderful machines can be seen in every nook and cranny of the country, afterall it's a Pilipino by the name of Roberto Del Rosario who Patented the KARAOKE in 1975.

His healthy big lungs has been supporting his flexibility to sing in different voices at wide ranges while under severe depression. One good example of this sort of singer is the famous Regine Velasquez who has developed strong big lungs, also from the Philippines.

You are ABSOLUTELY WRONG sir. I had never heard the song before, much less this version of it. I guess my time was good for a change. Just so you know- KZbin controls when an AD runs, not ME! They have an algorthym that knows when to best place an ad! It is an AUTOMATED sysem. I'm usually always cutting off during a solo, or just before some profound part of a performance when I'm pausing, but you are talking about something else completely. So, I just wanted to let you know that your statement is false.
