On Marcelito Pomoy We Filipinos love to express what we feel through singing and we do not care what people say, we just sing. This piece done by Marcelito is called "Doble Cara" (not to be confused by a Filipino soap opera of the same name) popularized in over a national television and has consequently become a craze in singing contests even in office Christmas Parties. A singer usually a guy, wears 2 part costume (male and female) so he can switch sides depending on the character he portrays as he sing. You can check out his take on Con Te Partiro and Beauty and the Beast in America's Got Talent. 😊 His duet with Morissette Amon (another Filipina singer whose covers and originals include the songs "Akin ka na lang" and Rise up) doing Secret Love Song is also worth watching. Marcelito, by the way has, like some of our great singers have no formal training. He is self taught. Try to check out Katrina Velarde, another Filipina doing impersonation of local and international singers (the song Burn where she sang while having a baby around), then another video where she impersonated 21 singers I guess before looking up their cover of Mariah Carey and Boyz to Men' One Sweet Day (Katrina sang with BuDaKhel [BUgoy Drilon, DAryl Ong and Michael "Khel" Pangilinan])

Prashanti, there is an 11 member (5 women, 6 men) A Cappella ensemble called "Voctave" to which I think you would enjoy reacting. Although Voctave has numerous KZbin videos, I recommend that you start with their "Disney Princess Medley" (2017) and then "Disney Love Medley" (late 2015). Note: The "Disney Love Medley" was recorded when Voctave had only 8 members. It features Kirstin Maldonado of Pentatonix fame and Jeremy Michael Lewis of the Acousticats. Marcelito is self taught his mum left when he was a toddler his dad went to prison and he was put in a home and ranaway to try find his mum he raised himself on the streets and worked child labour jobs and found that he could sing in the male / female voices whilst singing to the chickens he won the phillipines got talent in 2011 and was reunited with his family just before the final
