Why didn't hazza turn valdemort into a goblet which they all learnt? Are these spells just single use only? In more magically dense areas like a wizarding house or diagon alley it becomes harder to detect. And really it’s up to enforce the rule of no magic outside of the school. For Harry, he’s the only wizard on privet drive, so when they detect magic, it’s easy to figure out who it is based on context. With Hermione, she was in a location surrounded by over age wizards. But also in the book, Mr. Weasley was the one that fixed Harry’s glasses
