I never heard of this guy, but my god he’s so right. I’ve seen awesome technical drummers that are horrible to listen to with a band. Sort of weird I have always hummed when I play even while alone.

Some of the best teachers are like that. Milford Graves talks like this, spontaneous. Just go along for the ride and the splendor of wisdom will rain down. He talks like music sounds, in the moment.
