I love making scrappy quilts.. I can use up all the bips and bops of quarter filled bobbins and thread. I’m ready!

Using only fabric on hand, this is going to be one very colorful quilt; can't wait to see where we end up! Thank you for the inspiration!

I stitch right on the line, trim, and press the seam open. Finish with a clapper, and the block is the perfect size every time. Plus it looks better. This method is a bit more fiddly, but gives a professional look to the block. Also, no issues about matching and nestling seams.

This is fun. I’m glad this is an easy month. I got behind on the 4 patches so now I can get caught up! Thanks.

Sewing just to the right of the drawn diagonal line was such a great tip. I'm up to date on this block of the month (thought last month's 4-patches just about did me in!). Looking forward to next month!

I just finished all my 6 1/2 inch squares and realized that I ironed all of them to the dark triangle corner instead of to the white, will this be a problem for later on or would it be ok? Thanks for this scrappy quilt a long, I can't wait to see what it turns into!

I have a quick question I know that we won't know what the finished blocks are until we get to the end. My question is this I'm just getting started on making the four patches and most of my four patches I cut out squares that were two of each basically. So I would have two whites and then two of the same print same print. Would it look better if the four patches were that way or if the four patches had two different prints in each for the overall look of the quilt

Can these blocks be put together so they are made into a smaller quilt, e.g. large lap quilt size? If yes, how many fewer blocks? I am having trouble working with larger quilts at this stage in my life (sigh!).
