In all the years ive made a bracket (since 2016) only a single 6 seed has ever beaten a 3 seed (usc over kansas in 2021) so i suggest not picking a 6 to beat a 3. however, a lot of 11 seeds seem to beat 3s, ex: Gonzaga (11) over Utah (3) (2016), Xavier (11) over Florida St (6) (2017), Syracuse (11) over Michigan St (3) (2018), Loyola Chicago (11) over Tennessee (3) (2018), Syracuse (11) over West Virginia (3) (2021), (not a 11 over 3 but ucla (11) beating Abilene christian (14) (2021), Iowa St (11) over Wisconsin (3) (2022), Michigan (11) over Tennessee (3) (2022)

@KL-vw4we3 жыл бұрын
@@PaleBlueDot14 no that is most definitely not want perennial means lol. If it was every year then why aren't you arguing that USC or Texas shouldn't be on here? Perennial just means you've been good for a long time. Nebraska was the most dominant college football team in the 80's and 90's, and they were great in the early 2000's. They've been solid since, until recent years (which is why you think they aren't a powerhouse). They're definitely the weakest powerhouse among the 7 schools they listed, but they are most definitely a powerhouse. 5 National Championships should speak for itself.
@PaleBlueDot143 жыл бұрын
@@KL-vw4we bro it was a joke I recognize that the Huskers of the 80s and 90s were good and that they command respect. But come on It's a KZbin comments section. You need not be touchy about this. The only reason I targeted Nebraska rather than USC or Texas is that there are Husker fans on Twitter who still seem to think their club is relevant all these years after their last title But I'm a young Alabama fan, so my standard for success is very high nowadays and my opinions about once-giants of CFB are practically worthless. I'm perfectly willing to admit that because I see that it's true Point being: don't be mad about this. I understand your point. It was just a joke
@KL-vw4we3 жыл бұрын
@@PaleBlueDot14 Ah the old "it was just a joke" argument when you've run out of points to talk about. You being an Alabama fan pretty much proves why you made your dumb comment. Alabama is a dynasty right now, which is way different from a powerhouse. Also, Notre Dame's last title was in the 80's. Miami stopped being good right at the same time as Nebraska, and they also have 5 national championships. Miami actually beat Nebraska in the title game in 2001. My point being, a few bad years doesn't erase the powerhouse label. Your recency bias is very clear.

On one hand, you’re right. But on the other hand, there are a lot of cities and colleges on the east coast/in EST. All of the ACC, Big East, and a lot of the Big Ten and SEC are all in EST. It’s very likely that schools from these conferences will go far in the tournament based on their histories. This is no disrespect to the Big XII or west coast conferences, but EST probably has the highest volume of talent if for no other reason than volume of D-I basketball schools.
@mickfunny41853 жыл бұрын
@@luckylucas8596 once you get west of the Mississippi, the states are larger, less populated, more Plains, mountains, even deserts. Just by geography, you won’t have as many star players in those states. Plus, historically, networks like to broadcast games in Eastern Time Zine, more eyeballs for them. Kids see the games, want to go to the programs. Sure, you used to have UCLA, and every now and then a UNLV or Arkansas type team, but most of the successful teams are in the East.
