Thank you sew much for watching. I’m thinking of hacking out a bit in my waist and maintaining the 18 at the top but will need to grade down the bottom to a 14 maybe. 🤔 You do love the Sydney don’t you. When you’re onto a good thing eh. Have you made it in Rayon? 🦩💖💕

I appreciate the amount of time and effort that went into this video as well as leaving in the head scratching part about the pockets. We all have those moments. Side pockets was a good call. My next Style Arc make will be the Armidale Dress. Several “firsts” for me on it but I’m ready 💪🏻. I have Endo and Frugal things to make first though.
@StaceyJsStudio7 ай бұрын
Oh well done on doing the Frugal and Endo sews. What have you got planned for Frugal? My vlog for that is on the 21st. I’m Preparing 😳 What are the firsts for you with the Armidale? I like the half collar… and of course side pockets. I’m a pocket girl. Ohhh I might make pockets for my Fernbird like the style arc ones. They are really nice. Yup never made them like that before but definitely will again !! 💕🦩💖
@Brenda_S7 ай бұрын
Girl, I’m changing my mind constantly as I watch everyone’s Frugal vlogs 😂. We have a wedding to attend in May and we are spending a few extra days with family as the location is 8 hours away. Not only do I want to make a dress but I also want to make some casual, comfy clothes. Some items I’ve considered are a bias cut dress and a short, slightly puffed, sleeved cardigan to wear with it, a loose fit t-shirt dress and a midi linen skirt. I have downloaded all of those free patterns. As for the Armidale, I *thought* it had front and back waist darts; I have not done shaping with darts below the bust. I haven’t done anything fitted between the bust and waist in woven fabric. I also had not done buttonholes the length of a top or skirt, that is until last night! I made the Atelier Jupe Frida blouse. Four more buttons and I can see how I like it. I’ve pretty much decided to move on to the Be Mine though. My attention span is too short! Love me a good pocket 😉
@StaceyJsStudio7 ай бұрын
There are sew many different and free dresses out there. Lots without buttons. Where you live again. You in autumn or spring? Either way you’ll need a cardigan. With any style arc pattern you purchase (pdf) they are giving for free a bias cut slip dress. Well I think it is. I have in my cart. And they are 20%off atm. You have two months to make it all 🤔😬. Sounds like a good capsule wardrobe though (saying of the past few years eh) What have you chosen🦩💕💖💕🦩

Oh my goodness, Stacey! Your Chanel showed up in my feed as I was about to trace this very pattern. I have thoroughly enjoyed this sew-along and had to watch all the way through😂. I had purchased several SA patterns and never realized that there hardly any instructions. You kept this sew-along so very interesting and kept me laughing. Your dress is gorgeous and the fabric is beautiful❤❤ I will definitely contact SA for instructions for the three patterns I’ve purchased. Thank you so very much for sharing and enjoy your new dress. I will start binge-watching your channel👏🪡✂️🧵👗

Brenda, Thank you are very much in picking up this channel and actually wanting to binge watch it. I hope it helped, I can also flick thru the instructions if you need them. But yes happy that SA will loose that bad name they have with limited instructions. I have never noticed it before as am a long time sewist, but I know some of my flock are newbies and I wanted them to play the game with good instructions as if I wasn’t there. As if on que the ad for Style Arc has just come up with their 20% off 🤣🤣 I better put in my shopping order 😳🙄. As my phone went flat I re-did the pocket part 💕 Wait til ya meet the family. Always great to have the ability to shut the door without packing aways your crafts 😜 Yes the Rona did up the sales of sewing machines. And bring us all back into the sewing world. Now KZbin brings us all together as a family. Speaking of family- Mr Christopher’s mum is from Clydebank- migrated to New Zealand on a ship in 1953…. My mum migrated the following year from England same ship docked in different places - FREAKY! Anyway, best start my day, my fabric hiatus is finally over… thinking I have some serious therapy needed. The fabric shop in New Zealand have hit an all time slump in sales because of it. So amazing that you do these tutorials Stacey. Dress is lovely but yes l think you could downsize as you are petite on your bottom half….lm the opposite. Miss Maude has some lovely fabrics and wool. The Rimutaka’s Stacey, l lived over near Greytown 12 years ago before Miss Maude’s existed. It’s great to see the revival of the small towns over there, predominantly driven by real estate affordability and commuters to Wellington. I’m gearing up to make the Sidney dress. Love the pattern.

Hi Michelle, That is frosting cloth. I get it from the Warehouse here, a cheap side department/homewares store. Others have purchased it on line on EBay. It cost me $10 for about 30mtrs if I remember correctly. I never cut my pattern cause I like to be able to have all sizes available to me. I trace it out. Annoying but I deal with it. 😊 🦩💕💖

Hi Sally, Yip hiccups are the way of the world, happy to admit mine. TBH am always nervous when I sew for you guys… and a sew along 😳 The tracing product I use is ‘Frosting Mat’. I get it from ‘The Warehouse’ which is a department store in the basic form. They sell clothes, books, crockery, toys, stationery, food, plants, gardening supplies etc… this is where you get it from. Mr Christopher has googled to see if Bunnings sell it, and that sell Like 5 meters for $7. Where you can get vilene cheaper. Kiwi Garden Frost Cloth 1m x 25m 30gsm is what it is called in NZ. I’m thinking you saw the printed poplin with flamingos 🦩 on it 🥰 🦩💖💕
