Well, for a short while, it felt like Spring was arriving early this year! With a good week and a half of 50+ degree temps, I figured the bass bite would start early this year... While it was a bit of a grind at first, eventually I found a pattern that worked well!

30 years ago we used ot troll white bucktails with pink /red bass worms back there near the airport, easily would catch 40 to 50 fish a day. Also late march early april before they had put the fluke opening in May we would get fluke right by that bridge back there as well, many of those early fluke were massive

Hey! Unfortunately, I don’t have a great answer for you, particularly in the affordability department… I’ve bought two dry suits and I can’t really recommend either as I’ve had issues with both…

Great video. Where in the water column are you placing your lures when you troll? Are this fish holding near the bottom?

This was in relatively shallow water, so I'm trying to keep the lure more in the middle than anything.

I experimented with a few different sizes, but 3/8 - 1/2oz was what worked the best on this particular day

Do you harness your equipment, especially the drive when it’s not mounted in the well? Take it from me, you never know when something might cause you to flip the yak and the drive will sink like an anchor. 😉

For sure... some stuff is harnessed/leashed, others not. The front drive is leashed, the one if the back is bungied down, though I should probably leash that one too just in case.

I agree about flipping, though for the record, I’m wearing a dry suit with an additional pair of water proof pants over them… yes reel has seen better days, currently awaiting replacement parts in the mail. Thanks for checking out the video!
