I just finished Remarkably Bright Creatures and felt the exact same way - 4 stars and I hated the POV that very much had a victim mentality

Okay, that is good to know about sing me to sleep ahead of time about it not being enemies to lovers! As it is one waiting for me on my shelf. And for some reason I thought it was an adult book as well, so it's equally good to be aware that it is a YA. I do like what I have read of jackie lau and I need to continue reading her books again! The sitcom star sounds fun. I just got my first Kennedy Ryan this year and I'm looking forward to trying her for the first time. But it sounds like the love interest here was a little too perfect. Yay you read the deep and enjoyed it! I really liked that one and it was my first Rivers Solomon. It did a great job with the concept and the themes. So glad you loved the spellshop so very much! I have it waiting for me on my shelf as well and am working on it over here in the UK :) It sounds so wonderfully cosy.

Congrats on becoming 2nd place, love a good underdog story ;))) I am so glad to see that Princess Floralinda was such a hit for you! Gideon the Ninth is wildly different in every aspect, but I love it equally for its unconventionality and effortlessly entertaining tone. It's kind of a closed circle sci-fantasy murder mystery with necromancy and chaos queers, great fun hahaha. Hope you enjoy that one! 🤩 And oooh I really need to read some Danielle L. Jensen obviously! Also even more pumped for the release of The Spellshop now. My ARC request was denied, but it will be worth the wait lol. Glad you had such a great reading month! My faves were Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna, Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez, Mushroom Blues by Adrian M. Gibson and The Storm Beneath the World by Michael R. Fletcher. Was a fun month! Hope April treats you well! 🥰

Thank you! I have a good feeling about Gideon the Ninth. So many of my buzzwords! You really do need to read Danielle L Jensen! I am currently reading the third book in the Bridge Kingdom and really into it! The Spellshop will definitely be worth the wait. I love that you love The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches! 💙

Aren and Lara just set the romance bar too high 😉 I’m tentatively excited for Spell Shop. Still figuring out what cozies I like but I love how you described it!

They did! I read The Inadequate Heir in April and I'm on your side about it, sadly! I think you'll love the romance in The Spellshop. They were friends when they were kids!

In terms of the autism rep in This Could be Us, I’m hesitant to read it after I saw the author’s note. Cause if it’s a parent complaining about how hard it is to raise autistic kids, I don’t want to read that. What did you think about that aspect?
@KristinKravesBooks8 ай бұрын
I think there are some conversations about how difficult parenting in general and actually more in Soledad's chapters after her divorce. I never got the feeling that Judah was complaining about how hard it is to raise his sons!

I was slumpy in March I read A Power Unbound by Freya Marske, it was my least favorite of the three but still glad I read it. The Lost Village by Camilla Sten was a surprisingly good Swedish thriller. When Darkness Loves Us by Elizabeth Engstrom also had the story Beauty Is, and they were ok but dark and wierd. Taken by the Witch Queen by Luna Fury was my fav of the month it was fantastic smut. I'll be reading A Fate Inked in Blood this month! I read The Will of the Many in January for me it was fine but I didn't love it 4☆, one cool thing I do like is some of the roman words have double meanings like the name of the rebel group means serpent or to squeeze like a constrictor snake.

I recently heard a book I've read being a "book about love" by a salesperson from one of the big Norwegian publishers, when it's really about friendship. I don't know why they mismarket books, it's annoying!
